Good day kingreign,

i drive a 2010 Toyota camry SE.. But the fuel consumption is high.

My mechanic initially said it was vacuum leak, maybe air intake snorkel is ripped. We fixed it all to no avail.

I took it elsewhere, he said bad fuel injectors affected the gas mileage . Fixed it yet same issue.

I am beginning to suspect there's defect with the engine management system. What do you think?

Hello Sir, I can't give an answer to your query because I don't know what may be wrong with your car. If you're in Abuja, we could meet and I'd check it for you. If you're not in Abuja, get your car properly checked by a competent technician.

Cheers!

Check if the switch or harness is bad or disconnected. If it's bad, replace it.
See picture. I used a red colour to circle the labelling of the sensor.

Kindly help, my camry 2007 do experience a long delay when I shift to drive (D) and after a long time on drive I have to 'fire' repeatedly before it will then pick then begin to drag the engine slowly but shifting fine within gears when it finally picks.

The dragging comes with a loud engine noise which is becoming embarrassing to where ever I parked and also feels it is not healthy for the engine.

Some mechanics suggested its the verve body but it has been services and still othing changed.

I will appreciate your professional advice.

Is it leaking oil? If not leave it. Changing anything in gear means the mechanic must be very neat. Any small dirty inside the gear na finishing

I had an accident so the casing got cracked. I asked for a new gear box, mechanic said its 100k, which sounded too cheap for a gear box.

The price should be true for a 10pin gear box

Good evening autowiz, dozieson.

My gear only moves instantly (immediately I start the car) on reverse but doesn’t on D or any other gear, unless I allow the car to warm for about 2mins before it’ll move, what could be the problem ?
