adetopsy1:Truth is I did G.I.C but I had my personal reasons for it which I have explained before .however, GIC is not compulsory, neither is it a requirement for Nigerians but it goes to show more commitment from ur sponsor but if u are able to package us application well,u dont need to go 2ru d hassle of GIC cos it's really a hassle.Avoid lump sum. for ur question about when should the Money be there to avoid lump sum.Make sure the money is there from at least November cos if u keep it from November this year till April which is 6 months and apply may 2022 for fall .Mind u, ur account should be active.its not enough to just keep mayb #15m in ur account and there is,no reasonable activity . 2 Likes |

@makamo, thanks so much for your help. I truly appreciate your response. Hello Kelchy Guess you would have gotten responses to your query, but lemme chip in one or two things,, Yes, your Uncle can be your sponsor... Even though Uncles/Aunts are considered 3rd Party sponsors, but in your case, the Visa Officer won't see him as a 3rd party sponsor, the reason is that he has shouldered the responsibility of taking care of you right from when you lost your parents as a little gurl.. He took care of your education right from when you were a child till when you left his house to get Married.... So he is more or less your parent... So making him your sponsor is so on point. What you will just need to do is to state all these in your application so the Visa Officer can know he has been your "Father figure" since the demise of your parents.. You can attach your previous school fees receipts or any other beneficial expenses he would have made on you in the past, I am sure you have pictures of both of you, attach as many as possible... Your uncle in his Letter of sponsorship should also state how he has been sponsoring you since when you were a child and how he is ready and committed to sponsor you to Canada just the way he has been doing for so many years. If you do your homework well, you should have a problem with your application as regards sponsorship.. And to your statement of account, it's, not compulsory for an applicant to submit SOA, we have seen many applicants here stating in their timeline that they didn't submit their SOA and they still got approved. So if you wanna submit it, good. If not, fine.. It's only compulsory for Self-sponsored applicants to submit their Statement Of Account... Peace[/quote] 3 Likes |

Please, I need information on people that fall into this category. Were you able to extend your study permit when you switched from an undergraduate program to a two-year college program without enrolling in your course even after asking your old school to defer to the next semester? 1 Like |

Keep sending emails and webforms. Have you ordered your notes. It's possible eligibility has started and it's not been updated on your Portal. Mailing your MP could also be a last resort. You'll have to be patient. There's really nothing you can do than wait. It'll end well IJN raimiade11: |

It's like an SOA but the electronic kind where the VO can directly confirm the credibility of the funds you have. They will easily access your transactions and make assessments. adetopsy1: |

Lekiboboe: Hello Boss, I am a second time applicant but I awaits my GCMS. The first application was done by an agent and there was no SOP attached to the application. Hence, 3 reasons for my application rejection. I have drafted an new SOP. Can I submit the LOE alongside the SOP?? 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Omiinii: 6:56am On Oct 24, 2021 |
It depends on your bank, not every bank offer MBS. if you're using GTbank or access bank you can generate it yourself with your bank app. If you don't understand how to, you could go to the bank they'll send it to canada and generate the MBS ID and password which you will attach with your documents for submission. adetopsy1: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Omiinii: 7:11am On Oct 24, 2021 |
Abba nau. international students generally don’t need a separate work permit in order to work while studying in Canada, although there is an important exception. Some study programs require the student to complete a Co-op or internship work placement in order to be able to graduate. In this situation, international students require a Co-op work permit in addition to their study permit. To get a Co-op work permit, you’ll need a valid study permit and a letter from your university or college confirming all students in your program need to complete work placements to get their degree. So if someone course doesn't require internship work placement why will he say he intends to work? I believe jay is right on this one. EstherAda92: 2 Likes |

1.) Log into your application. 2.)From the interface navigate to "Account statement" like you'll slide to see the other side. At least that's how I do it on my phone 3.)click on send statement to embassy 4).input all the required information and from there you'll sort yourself out. It's that easy 5.) After self-generating the MBS you should receive an e-copy in your email that you will send to IRCC. If you don't receive the maybank statements, contact your bank customer's care.
