Let me see if your abysmal mental ability can be ameliorated in any appreciable way, I will go ahead to tutor you on what an ELECTRIC CAR is in concrete terms. An Electric car is an automobile propelled by 1 or more electric motors by energy supplied by a rechargeable battery pack usually located below the passenger compartment of the car. Since power is supplied to the electric motors directly, electric cars do not need a gearbox or transmission. Since energy is supplied by a battery pack, an electric car does not have a petrol/diesel engine. So an electric car owner does not buy petrol and engine oil for running the engine or for maintenance neither does he buy gear oil and incur transmission maintenance costs.......no one who has driven a good electric vehicle will ever come close to an engined car again both in terms of running costs and performance. Power delivery is near-instantaneous and in typical city driving you can actually drive it with just the throttle (no need for constant braking) because electric cars come with a regenerative braking feature......that is the car begins to brake as you ease off the throttle and the braking fades off as you increase speed...... it's better experienced than described !............ I hope juliusmalema has learnt something sha... sometimes I wonder if his rather limited and delicate intellectual stature can appreciate most of the salient issues we discuss here all he dreams about is Buhari, fulanis and cows!

Just read the comments from this vlog to see actually how Obiano is rated. Anambra is truly a great state and top in the region and among the few tops in Nigeria. Anambra is the fastest developing state in Nigeria with worldclass international airport that will serve the international travel needs of the Igbos of the eastern Nigeria

It's a nice vlog with lots of inaccurate and obsolete information that was not updated. Like Eboh Media's excellent vlog on the airport which also had the same obsolete information.

The airport project was not financed by the Chinese in any sort of partnership. Yes, the airport was initially planned and launched in 2017 as a $2 Billion dollars airport-city project on Build-Operate-Manage-and-Transfer with Chinese external partners (Sino-King Enterprises Ltd). That arrangement was later reneged upon by the Chinese Consortium in 2019. Following the pullout of the Chinese company, Gov. Obiano who already committed to the project instructed a phased approach towards delivery of the project BASED ON THE STATE'S FINANCIAL CAPACITY.

In January 2020, Gov. Obiano quietly broke grounds at the site and re-launched the new plan to build the airport in phases based on the state's revenue financing ability. The first phase to allow daylight flights landing was completed within 15 months and tested on April 30, 2021.

Gov. Obiano has continued the phased development of the airport installing ILS CAT 2 System, airfield landing, runway lighting, CAT 9 Airport Firestation, internal access roads around the airport, total perimeter fencing, approach main highway, gatehouse, terminal building, parking lots, powerhouse, self-sustaining water treatment plant, etc. These are to allow the safe and seamless operation of international flights from the airport as it begins to serve the public.

The Cargo storage sheds are being planned, with aviation fuel tank farms, as well as parallel taxiways to the end of the runway etc. Thus, in 2022, about N10 billion will be spent on the strategic development of the airport even as it continues to operate. Thus, the information that the airport alone (as is) already costs $2 billion Dollars makes such journalists sound very mischievous or misinformed. Once the total projected cost of $2 billion dollars is mentioned to sound as though it was the cost of the airport so far, without mentioning that was this was the total projected cost in 2017 was for everything (i.e; airport & airport city & International convention center & airport hotels) that the Chinese partners were expected to invest, make the information sound deliberately mischievous. Since we all know that N5.6 billion was budgeted in 2020 budget and N6 billion in 2021. So, nobody has claimed that $2 Billion dollars have already been invested into the airport. The plan is to gradually and strategically continue the investment of up to $2 billion dollars over a period of years based on the state's financial capacity. Why can't they report the later statement which is accurate than the former which suggests that the airport already costs $2 billion dollars?

We know $2 billion dollars is a little over N1 trillion naira. We also know that the entire Anambra's ACTUAL budget performance since 2010 is less than N900 Billion naira! So even if Anambra did not pay any salaries, or build roads/schools, or anything else since 2010, it would still be unable to afford a whopping N1 trillion naira to invest in this airport project alone for a whole 11 years! Not to mention that this project was only discussed with the Chinese in Obiano's second term in 2017 and actual construction started in January 2020! Which makes that claim by opposition agents of $2 billion already spent even more ludicrous!

It is now obvious that this coming election is Anambra Vs her Enemies And the no election call is being instigated by the enemies to make sure the state (Anambra) get what they did not bargain for. Their happiness is to see Anambra fall.

The truth is revealing day by day.

Wow! The check-in counters have carousels behind them for those who want to check-in their luggage. i hope they also have the weighing scale so that folks can easily weigh their luggage.

I am simply blown away by how much international standard they have imbibed in this airport. Everything is built to global best practices found at international airports abroad!

What shocks them is that Gov. Obiano turned what would have been his greatest failure when the Chinese company suddenly pulled out, into his greatest achievement! Personally, I'm still shocked at the very high-quality international airport he delivered! How did he do it?? Where did he get the money??

One must hail Obiano as a man with steel nerves to dare to build this state-of-the-art airport even in 2020 after the Chinese disappointed him! Knowing that he would have less than 2 years to complete it, many ordinary people would feel defeated and not dare to start the project or would just build a small aerodrome and call it a day. His can-do attitude is truly legendary to dare to build this with state funds alone and refused to cut corners to build a substandard third-world airport!

It is exactly the type of tenacity you see among legendary football players who may be 4 goals down in the second half of a match, yet they fight on fiercely and still end up winning the match that would have been their greatest defeat! That is exactly what Obiano did with this airport.

I am glad that Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo (The SOLUTION) will likely take over from Obiano and utilize this airport to successfully implement Anambra's Vision 2070.

Glad to see that they have not stopped work while awaiting NCAA approval to open for public use.

The airlines' check-in counters are ready with the check-in luggage carousel already functional. They have an adequate number of chairs for passengers, and very importantly for me, they have cleaned the floor!

The airport is totally ready!

No matter what anybody would say, Mr Willie Obiano did his best.

For a system like that of Nigeria where nothing is in place to hold any governor accountable if he/she decides not to do anything, willie Obiano left a legacy regardless.

I pray the next person keeps the wheel rolling and most importantly do something about the touts before leaving his legacy/legacies.
Most importantly, should not forget Nnewi and the rest of Anambra South.
