Thanks for this info Sir OGG.
Leadway is no doubt one of the best insurance coys in the country before and now.

Otedola is buying thru Calvadous Global Services Ltd and maybe some other companies not yet known.
A publication has been issued today as to that effect.

Battle of who controls the largest stake sand directs the affair of the bank seems to still be on.....

Otedola is still leading, let them keep denying it. smiley

Some media news says that Otedola acquired about 5% before now.......thru some Companies.........bringing his stake to over 10%. Though no formal notification as to that effect (the initial 5%).

Anyway, let them continue with the battle of supremacy, in as much as it's going to end up helping the minority and tashere shareholders. grin

I throway salute sir! cool

Fundamentally, PZ is back on a healthy track.
Latest financial print lays added credence to this. (kindly surf through my several past post for further guidance)

What you should know...
The combination of low purchasing power from inflationary pressure and weak macro-economic environment will continue to weigh a strain on coys in the consumer goods space as base demand lags increasing mkt prices and the quest for lower price point product alternatives hightens.
However, those/coys whose business segment/commodity spread embraces the lower class will likely fair better. ...PZ and UNILEVER are among them.
Put differently, margins might be squeezed, but growth trajectory (save for any one-off gain(s)) remains intact.
On the latter(UNILEVER), also read through my past post for guide. There's a reason the coy is now pushing up in price.

Should you buy? Well, that depends on a lot of factors.
Everything from ur your investment horizon to ur personality and goals.
Long term? Absolutely!
MId-term? Seek to buy into every mkt dip at staggered price pegs.
Short term- Look at the coys price movement as it relates to vol. (TA)

In all, a FVE of N10.15 which assumes zero growth rate in Q4 and attaches a high RP should be your guide.
A repeat of their last performance in the next 3 months can push the coys FVE to N14.7 though.

NOTE: Always seek to buy at an MoS value that greatly assures REWARD and gives you peace of mind.
You can digest this post and the coys FP... and make your inference on whether the current mkt price does.

My advise? Pls do well to follow your instinct.

I wish you luck in your endeavor!
Regards

Thank you boss. It is well appreciated.

In my opinion, I think FBNH is a Hold.

As it is now:
** FBNH has large free float with no major control...
** Four major players are battling for the control of FBNH's ship....Otudeko, Adenuga, Otedola and Hassan-Odukale....
** Three major players now owns over 5% shares.......Otedola (5.07%), Otudeko (5.32%), Odukale (5.36%) and Adenuga (over 5% but not sure if this is true because when updated last, it wasn't up to 1%)...
** So far, higher percentages are going into the hands of these billionaires (and many more unmentioned billionaires with less that 1%)..........this is in turn reducing the number of shares available to the public....
** All indications are pointing to more accumulation of shares by the major players to outdo one another in coming days......
** FBNH recently sold her stake in Airtel Nigeria at a premium, amounting to extra cash for the group.....
** If the rumour that Otedola is presently controlling or will be controlling the larger shares is true, then investors are somehow optimistic that FBN will perform so well under his leadership..........considering his past achievements in FO & Geregu plant.....
** These guys are enjoying the backing of the powers-that-be in the background.......
** We may witness more share acquisition in days to come.......
** More drama may likely unfold......
** Just stay tuned..... grin

**LOL. This is just my opinion based on the little info I have and based on what's going on so far.........I may be wrong, some data may not be correct for now........but I don talk my own. tongue

Information that Otudeko sold his shares may not be true after all.......
It was learnt that he's still retaining his shares and that his loan is performing.......

This is battle among billionaires. This is interesting! tongue

Rumour also have it that some big govt officials are acquiring some stakes in FBNH shares....

hmmm. Fbnh will soon be flying. with all this news more billionaires will be tempted to join.
I love the fact that their fight is not like that of Tinubu and Mangal in oando. Its a clean fight of cash.

Chances are that it's not Sir Otedola that's buying now.
Maybe the owners of Leadway assurrance (Sir Odukale & co) ...see the attached doc below.

Wish I had a stake in that insurance company. It's about the biggest and best managed insurance coy in the country.
Unfortunately, it's not a quoted coy.
The group(Leadway) is really making a lot of money from their insurance and AM businesses. Their PFA subsidiary is a cash cow.
The group alone, has acquired over 5.36% of FBNH' total OS.

Again, maybe Sir Otedola might also buy in future. Or perhaps someone is buying or will buy on his behalf. (indirect stake)
Probably explains the other 4.17% of FBNH shares acquired from the total of near 9.6%.

It is well.

And Sir Otedola is also accumulating FBNH via his nominee. ...bringing his total stake to 5.07%.
Think there's a power tussle on who eventually heads the bank.
This is a case of when "2 elephants fight, the ground (minority shareholders) benefits".
Looks like it's even more than "2 elephants that are fighting" ...aside Sirs Odukale and Otedola, Sir Otudeko and Chief Adenuga where already in the picture.

Reminds me of a similar power play in NEM insurance which saw the equity price accelerate by over 210% back then.

We continue to observe.

Sell sell sell

There might not be a massive sell-off.

I will say if you are in profit, but don't sell at a loss because the result is not too bad.

My type of person can't hold a unit of Afriprud at this time.
When a company begins to post loss or drop in profit from quarter to quarter, what do you expect?

Do they have diversified investments that can change their financial print in the subsequent results?
