balogun, ekong, ndidi, etebo, iwobi, uzoho etc have played at the World Cup and afcon so the exposure is enough not to regard them as rookies anymore

A team that consist of 4-5 players that have featured at the fifa World Cup and afcon shouldn’t be considered inexperience

The clueless NFF chairman and his inept coach are at it again, always misplacing priorities and looking for short cuts for quick success.

Ighalo is older than Kele, yes, but is he really more experienced football wise? It shows these guys have not been analysing our matches. We don't need strikers. We have enough in Osimhen, Awoniyi and Onuachu all among the top scorers in their respective leagues, plus Kele. What we need are good midfielders, not just work horses but creative heads.

Don’t worry, I am waiting for the final round of WCQ it is when you guys eyes will clear. As of now, I don’t trust awoniyi or onuachu ahead of an experienced ighalo
12large do we qualified for 2006 WC with Kanu and Okocha?

I repeat it nothing much Ighalo and Victor Moses going to bring to the table...mind you am a real fan of Victor Moses and I supported Ighalo like kilode on this thread.

Nobody forced the two guys into retirement and if they want to come back they should come out openly,no wahala but their coming does not guarantee Afcon trophy or World Cup qualification.

If a whole NFF chairman is more concerned about bringing back a retired striker to provide "experience" to the abundance of already established strikers that we already have; at the expense of a lethargic midfield and defence that have been left ignored for too long by the coach... then it is obvious his cluelessness outweighs that of the obvious clueless Rohr... only positive here is that Ademola Lookman wants to play for Nigeria according to Pinnick's post, hopefully we should be seeing him in the GWG when the AFCON starts...

Ighalo own is simply to be osimehn bench replacement and it’s arguable. But, Victor Moses will walk into our 11. I will pick him ahead of all our present wingers except Ejuke. He is a solid RWB

Who are the rookies? By the way, what makes one experienced and the other a rookie? Did you know that Algeria's all conquering AFCON squad consisted of players who have never been to any major tourney prior that afcon, same as Cameroun's, Keshi's and Zambia's all conquering squads?

Which other experience do you need that you don't already have in Musa, Omeruo, Ekong, Balogun, Iheanacho, Iwobi, Awaziem, Ndidi, Chuks, Simon, Kalu and Osimhen? Has Ighalo played more Afcon or world cup than any of these players mentioned above?

Their time with the Eagles is done. Our problem is not experience or the lack of it. Our problem is tactical. Rohr is an inept coach. We like glossing over problems rather than facing them and solving them. SE has problems instead of solving it they want a quick fix by recalling Odion Ighalo. His coming will add nothing to the Eagles.

You can clamor for Vicmo from now till eternity, it is clear as day that Victo Moses will not return to the SE.
Chriskels talked about Victor Moses' lack of commitment even during his best of days and that is true. He sealed that attitude by retiring from the SE. He will not return.

Experience is gotten by opportunity. Let the young ones now be given that opportunity. The earlier the better so that we can reap from their experience for long.

Bro your information is incorrect Efe, Ideye and Echiejile were part of the u21 in 2007. It was only in 2010 that they started being major members of the SE.

Our team as it stands doesn't lack competent strikers what we need now are more creative type players to feed our strikers. Ighalo has tried for us him coming back to the SE will not change anything if the team's creative problems still persist. The only person who I would welcome back with open arms is Victor Moses but he has to want to come back.

Enyeama 2002 - 2013 = 11years... "Ahmed Musa covers this with his debut dating back to 2010"

Mikel 2005 - 2013 = 8years... Kenneth Omeruo covers this with his debut coming in 2013

Efe 2010- 2013 = 3years... Leon Balogun covers this with his debut coming I'm 2014

Echiejile/ Ideye 2010 - 2013 = 3years... Ndidi, Iwobi, Iheanacho cover this

Now, funny enough, the supposed experienced Ighalo wasn't even an integral member of this squad till 3 years ago, unlike those other players mentioned above. So where is the so called experience of his coming from?

This team already has enough experience and bulk of the experienced folks in this team made their debuts before Ighalo and remained with the team when Ighalo was exiled due to his poor form. Abeg make we hear word with this una over rated ABF defensive striker of a player

None of these players are world class I repeat none of these players are world class

Exactly my point, transfer fee is not directly proportional to quality.

Iheanacho can never command the same fee as Osimhen because of his age.

No player in the history of football have commanded a big money move at the age of 25 while playing for a non-top 4 side without back to back league performance.

Ighalo and Victor Moses while they learn from the bench.how can you go to the AFCON with rookies

Ghana went to the World Cup with loads of Rookies and did well.

They are rookies because the coach is still stuck with not knowing how to groom players. If you don't give them the chance to learn, they will be 28 years and rookies.

That rookie talk is fake.

If you can't bench these guys in their clubs, it is criminal to believe the player will perform better at the AFCON.

Or is the experience skill to trap ball. Did you not see Gavi with no experience outperforming players with decades of experience at the nations league?
