The most important thing is that Vic mo has retired and will not return

But you guys need to stop lying by saying he lacks commitment abeg
Why should I lie? If you disagree with the assertion, say so. Don't be quick to call someone a liar just because they voice opinions different from yours.

I recall then that even in the news and my own personal assessment, Vicmo had this vibe that showed he wasn't committed. I wasn't a lone in perceiving him as non-committal. Read the link

Yes I can't but agree with you going by how this team is playing. I wish we can bring in Okocha and Mikel to man the midfield.

I tire. Pinnick should try Odegbami. Mind you Finidi had a brilliant game playing in a ceremonial event organized by Wike. Still looked fit. Why not get the de la creme experience.

The 2013 squad is an example of an experienced team. The 2012 had about five players that came second in the 2009 club world cup with Tp Mazembe. Most of their players played years in Congo, South Africa and national team
The had Katongo and Chamamga both based in China
ChrisKels:

Who are the rookies? By the way, what makes one experienced and the other a rookie? Did you know that Algeria's all conquering AFCON squad consisted of players who have never been to any major tourney prior that afcon, same as Cameroun's, Keshi's and Zambia's all conquering squads?

Which other experience do you need that you don't already have in Musa, Omeruo, Ekong, Balogun, Iheanacho, Iwobi, Awaziem, Ndidi, Chuks, Simon, Kalu and Osimhen? Has Ighalo played more Afcon or world cup than any of these players mentioned above?

Experienced guys will always take the day Asamoah Gyan. The most successful national teams in the world don't field rookies and inexperienced players in a major tournament. We have refused to learn
TheGoodJoe:

Ghana went to the World Cup with loads of Rookies and did well.

They are rookies because the coach is still stuck with not knowing how to groom players. If you don't give them the chance to learn, they will be 28 years and rookies.

That rookie talk is fake.

If you can't bench these guys in their clubs, it is criminal to believe the player will perform better at the AFCON.

Or is the experience skill to trap ball. Did you not see Gavi with no experience outperforming players with decades of experience at the nations league?

Efe was not a core member of the team until around the time Siasia started coaching the team in 2011, Echiejile was second fiddle to Taiye Taiwo until Keshi came on the scene. Ideye too wasn't really a starter and before 2013 you could count the number of times he featured and scored on one hand.

The irony is all these guys were ''rookies'' when they won the AFCON lol

Exactly my point, transfer fee is not directly proportional to quality.

Iheanacho can never command the same fee as Osimhen because of his age.

No player in the history of football have commanded a big money move at the age of 25 while playing for a non-top 4 side without back to back league performance.

A short story.

Salah: World watch 19-year-old score 7 and assist 3 in one of Africa's biggest senior league.
Iheanacho: World watch 17-year-old score 7 and assist 6 in the biggest competition in his age bracket, World Cup.

Salah: World watch him score 10, assist 11 in his first European season at Basel.
Iheanacho: World watch him score 10, assist 4 in his first European season at Man City.

Salah: World watch him score 10 assist, assist 6 in his second season in Europe.
Iheanacho: World watch him score 8, assist 3 in his second season in Europe.

Salah: World watch him struggle in new club, Chelsea.
Iheanacho: World watch him struggle in new club, Leicester.

Salah: World watch him struggle for second season.
Iheanacho: World watch him struggle for second season.

Salah: World watch him recover third time asking at Fiorentina, 9 goals + 4 assists.
Iheanacho: World watch him recover third time asking at Leicester, 10 goals + 4 assists.

Salah: World watch him score 15 goals and 7 assists in second recovery season at Roma.
Iheanacho: World watch him score 19 goals and 7 assists in second recovery season at Leicester.

Salah: Liverpool interested in him since his Basel days wait for him to prove he is not a fluke for another season.
Iheanacho: Unknown club interested in him since his Man City days wait for him to prove he is not a fluke for another season.

Salah: Scores 19 goals, 15 assists, rate of 0.96 contribution per game. Proves he is no fluke.
Iheanacho: Currently 3 goals, 5 assists, rate of 1.15 contribution per game. Proving he is no fluke.

Salah: Liverpool offer not 100M, not 80M, not even 60M, but 33M for him because he is 25 and plays for a lowly Roma side.
Iheanacho: Unknown club offer not 100M, not 80M, not even 60M, but 33M for him because he is currently 25 and plays for a lowly Leicester side.

Salah: Liverpool finally sign him for 39M.
Iheanacho: Unknown club finally sign him for 39M.

Salah: 2021 scores away hattrick against fierce rivals, to prove he is the best player in the world.
Iheanacho: 2025... Are you thinking what I'm...?

If he's needed back in the team, then we'd have to clamor for Okocha and Kanu.

true talk sir Iheanacho for the reason best known to him just see Leicester as a comfort zone and I pray indidi move from there to a better club soon maybe that may propel Iheanacho to see he can actually be a better player to what he his currently, because I know he got the talent smiley

Ndidi, Iwobi and Iheanacho have even been part of the SE for about 5/6 years
ChrisKels:

Enyeama 2002 - 2013 = 11years... "Ahmed Musa covers this with his debut dating back to 2010"

Mikel 2005 - 2013 = 8years... Kenneth Omeruo covers this with his debut coming in 2013

Efe 2010- 2013 = 3years... Leon Balogun covers this with his debut coming I'm 2014

Uche 2007 not 2006 - 2013 = 6years... Troost Ekong and Akpeyi are here with their debuts coming in 2015

Echiejile/ Ideye 2010 - 2013 = 3years... Ndidi, Iwobi, Iheanacho cover this

Now, funny enough, the supposed experienced Ighalo wasn't even an integral member of this squad till 3 years ago, unlike those other players mentioned above. So where is the so called experience of his coming from?

This team already has enough experience and bulk of the experienced folks in this team made their debuts before Ighalo and remained with the team when Ighalo was exiled due to his poor form. Abeg make we hear word with this una over rated ABF defensive striker of a player

Salah didn't actually do anything special to leave Chelsea. He had only 13 leagues appearances in his two seasons there, so had no choice but to leave.

Iheanacho is the one who needs commendation, he made 46 league appearances for arguably the biggest team in England, Manchester City, and still left for Leicester.
