Can a driver rely on offline trips? Do they come often?

Look for a corolla or civic. 03-05. Drop the camry. Don't be carried away by the prestigious look of the car.

Do you know that's the best trick to make riders cancel without asking them to?

Sometimes I also use this trick.

E.g
PU: shop rite, ikeja
Dest: ogolunto ikorodu
R: where are you?
My actual location could be 100m, 300m or less than 1km away
Me: after confirming their destination, I tell them I'm I'm either in marry land, ikeja along or Airport.

Most times the rider will say, ha! That's far na I can't wait, sime will just hang up immediately and cancel

So it is true that two people work on the same account (BOLT). I just met a Driver at ICM and when I was trying to help him with his App tripping off after some minutes. We got talk and he said he's trying to meet his daily deliver. I was like I don't understand. That was when he told me he share car and account with another driver. He said anytime the guy work during the day he work in the night and there's a certain amount he delivers for the guy cos he's the one that collected the car from owner. The first time someone told me something like this and even told me that the guy that won BOLT first price last time was his friend and he knew how he worked it out I didn't believe him but this one confirm it for me. He even show me the original owner of the account and called him for me to confirm it
So this is how some you guys work and win bonuses from BOLT and in NL.
It is well ooooooooo.

Let someone out there that want to contest for this year BOLT prices (car) think twice before you kill yourself cos there's someone somewhere who is working smarter than you think and will not reveal it to you.
Abeg make request enter make I make some money before someone comes for maihed

I have always say it and I'll say ut again "only time shall tell what's behind the dark"

07 civic is very splendid car.
With the R-18 ivtec engine, the fuel economy is very great.
The parts are not really pricy compared to the corolla of same year.
Engine - less than 200k.
Transmission- less than 100k.
Motor mounts- less than 30k for complete 4 set.
AC compressor- less than 25k.
Radiator plus fan unit- less than 30k.

It's very cheap to maintain, if you use the recommended fluids.

But, you should budget 1.6M upwards for a very sharp one.
Most civics sold online are dead.

1.2M can get u a clean 03-05 model.

P.S Catalytic converter of the 07 civic is 200k plus tongue.

Can u Imagine! An Honda civic parts so expensive like it's a good car.

I tried asking the tok price for a MB Kompressor last week

Complete engine for a 4matic 250k, Borale (or what ever it's called) 150k

Kompressor 4plugs like my complete engine 150k, skeleton 75k

The compressor in my car is abt 13 or 15k... You'll see water vapours in my glass with and outside temp of 35°C

Transmission is around 60k

Radiator water can is 11k for new one, tokunbo sells within 5 to 7k

I got my stabilizer linkage rod 4k 4weeks ago (one stupid panel beater burnt it and the thing got damaged.

The thing is, why should I spend so much to maintain a car that it's performance is far less than a mini bus yet periodic maintenance is often...

Foolishness to say the least.

Haha haha haha haha... This one burst my brain grin

Some of your riders deserve worst...

I don't do excess luggage, if your luggage is not handy sorry is your 2nd name. Even airways charges for excess luggage, danfo and Inter state transporters charge for excess luggage.

Now, you're not paying me for that yet you still want me to help you load it inside my boot? Pray it's not raining if not the rain go beat u tire because I won't even carry you unless you agree to pay an extra 2k depending on the distance because too many riders and excess luggage increases load on the car thereby higher fuel to power the car to yoir destination and more weight on the car components like shocks, bushings, tyriod, bolt joint etc...

Now, let me share two experiences within these little period of my break from here while i keep reading to catch up with the thread.

Was somewhere around Allen on Wednesday when i got this resq
The lady called to inform me I was picking up her mum from ibtc bank... I was just a block away so I quickly arrived, parked while waiting for the woman to come out believing she was inside.

Next thing, phine rang...
Mother: where are you na I've been waiting for u since (with a very loud, authoritative, commanding and annoying tone)
Me: still trying to be cool by trying to salute
Mother: where r you, I'm in a hurry and I'm at ibtc pensions, where are you? You're delaying me, whats wrong with you? Bla bla bla...
Me: madam will you shout up and address me with respect, by the way why are you shouting? Do you know me b4? In fact bye.

I hanged up and cancelled the trip immediately as it as already gotten to paid wait time.

Daughter called few minutes later to confirm if I'd picked her up, sorry you provided the wrong addi and ur mum was sounding too rude... Request again for her with the right addi... Like she knows the kinda of mum she has she didn't even wait for me to finish she just hanged up.

Me, what's my own, I've satisfied my mind.

About 30min later, a lady called narrating how I was to pick up a woman from her office and how the said woman left an item behind. Begging for her contact.

Me I've already deleted the text mgs containing the number the daughter sent b4, asked her to call back since I've to trace back to find any of the contacts....

CASE 2
Last night I was somewhere in chevron drive seriously looking for a trip back home, luckily got one to oniru...

After drop off I got another to MMAI and was happy not knowing it won't end well.

Rider put in the wrong address yet was still claiming right and saying she input the her street, okay is your street of fadojo street around oniru palace, yes but you're supposed to be here... A man voice took over and instead of the idiot to talk to me like a fellow man with sense he was even saying worst than the woman... How sad I never knew women are more smarter than some dic.k head men... Next thing the idiot called me Stu.pid...
Me hoodlum driver na him U dey call Stu.pid... Ur own don finish...

I told him sorry sir, got the right street address which was about 500m away... Called him to come out... The idiot was bolf enough to come out with his ugly gf.... By then i was sitting on top my boot with my wheel spinal on my hands. As the came out...

Me: you're so so and so person right? My rider?
The lady responded, yes! Was about shouting I quickly cut her off...
Me: who was the guy on the phone.
The guy answered it me, this time with a cool voice after seeing my tuch appearance and my ride...

So na I be the fool dey call ur papa, ur generation stupid abi? I reviewed my wheel spinal from behind my back where I was hiding it... Walking towards him... Omo na so the girl stepped back the guy too took 2stepz back quickly too...

Me: ogun go kill you for calling me stupid, devil punish that ur black lips... Fo.ol! Next time try am again.

I entered my car zoomed off!

Both of them where frozen didn't even say a single word.

For peace of mind, kindly stay away from those Camry v4. 2007 to 2010 v4 are factory defects are notoriously known to short oil.. Especially if you are going to be using it for uber. It will require daily anointing of oil to top it every morning. Failure to do that will kill the engine.......

Now failure to follow advice, And decide to use it and people tell just use thicker oil 20w50 for the oil burn. You will end up spending more money for topping the oil . 20w50 engine oil is around 9k naira. And an uber driver covers at least 2k miles a month and 20w50 will need more frequent oil change, and failure to change oil will lead to sludge engine. Either way avoid it .. The driver that are using it now on uber are on a time bomb. It is a matter of time before the car breaks down

Labour market is not saturated .... This is Xmas season and as a matter of fact , demand for cars has increase. Drivers are holding on to their cars. Business is slow and people are looking for jobs.. Transportation business can't never saturated .. Cars break down easily. 50% of cars are sleeping at the shop with the mechanics. Car owners are getting out of the business

Going beyond the jokes and the smileys, doesn’t it irk you as a black man to live in a society devoid of law and order?

Sorry to bring politics into this thread, but men, all the leaders in Lagos and Nigeria at large, yet they can’t even get a semblance of order when it comes to road users and driving.

How difficult can it really be to have police officers patrol and pull over erring drivers? Why must they stand forming checkpoints, instead of patrolling the streets and finding ERRING DRIVERS ON THE MOVE?

The same way you saw a danfo do something wrong is the same way a squad of police patrolling will see them as well. The difference is, you have no official power to enforce driving laws while the squad car does, but I’ll tell you how you are both similar - you both will drive off and do NOTHING! Such a shame of a police force and irresponsible present/past governments who remove themselves from society.

How difficult really is it oh black man! God of mercy.

No politician even talks about such “minute” details of society here in Nigeria, because I guess to them, Nigeria must remain a jungle.

Seriously, when was the last time, if ever, you heard a Nigerian politician campaign and raise points such as stated above? Have you heard them say, “when I come in, I will tackle law and order on the roads, making sure drivers maintain lane discipline and buses make use of bus stops and so on and so on”?

None!

Up till now, 2021, you still can’t even call police in Nigeria in the event of an emergency. It’s sad really.

Anyways, I rant!

How is that possible?
Bolt won’t give you cash request at all if you have exceeded your limit, so are you saying they gave you a request mistakenly and remembered you owing them so they canceled it ?

Once I do a transfer to bolt in less than 5mins it will reflect on my dashboard.

Suffer never master you.
Don’t worry just keep driving longer hours your leg will quickly adapt and then you can be driving and earning without pains.
After all sitting in the office and sitting in your car is the same and you earn more sitting and driving in your car.

Number101:
Whose is in need of loan? N100,000 loan @ N600 daily interest only on Monday - Friday.
What this mean is,
If you take the N100,000 you will be paying N600 daily as the interest into our account from Monday to Friday. Saturday & Sunday excluded, until you no longer interested with the loan, then you return the principal of 100k.
NB. You must bring a collateral worth more than 100k.
Our office is at Bar-Beach tower VI. The military compound. Thank you.
If interested call or whatzap 08028822072

So long your asset used as collateral is sitting pretty at the military base, I don't see any issue.

Okay no vex
I was trying to meet target.
You know I manage my time well by being selfish. I work hard now and socialize later.

I use the Camry and as far as I’m concerned there is no difference with Corrolla, it’s rugged and cheap to maintain just like any Toyota.
Security and police won’t know you are Uber unless jazebel daughter seats at d back.

But make sure u don’t buy a lemon Limca Camry.
Thanks boss
