I'm writing this here because I believe it will will have a wider audience compared to being in the job/vacancy section.

I hope I get helper(s) from good people of Nairaland because there are many great people on this forum.

Please, I need a job to sustain myself and family right now. I am a 35 year old man with a wife and 2 little children to take care of. I stay in Ibadan but I'm ready to relocate to any part of Nigeria apart from the northeast.

I have B.Agriculture in Forestry with First Class honors. I also have M.Sc in Forest Resources Management (Distinction grade) all from UI.

I have a year experience as a Sales Manager before I resigned to venture into agriculture (arable crop farming) in 2016. Everything went fine until 2019 before things went south. I did carpentry work to gather money then so that I can learn Front End Development. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the program because I exhausted my savings.

Please if anyone has a job or anything that I can do that is legal apartfrom marketing job, I'm readily available.

I started Okrika business few months back but I carried 2 consecutive bales late last month and early this month and it has wrecked me because the clothes inside the bale were not up to standard and it has been back to back losses. I have tried many things and I'm just tired of everything right now. I feel for my family as I'm unable to take care of them.

I can be reached through my no and email below if anyone has an offer:

Sir, your situation is quite unfortunate. I pray that you find a way out soon.

But I'd like to advise that you keep your options open. From your statement, you don't want a 'marketing job', but what if your breakthrough is in a marketing job?

If you're open to learning, you can actually learn things like Digital Marketing, E-commerce or Mini importation. These things are proven to give a fortune, especially in this Digital age where most things are online.

Taking a step to learn might just be the breakthrough you need.

Thank you.

Thanks for your concern. I'm open to learning a digital skill but I also have a family to feed. I can always learn a digital skill while I work to put food on the table for my family.

Maybe you could see that implementation of Digital Skills as work.

I didn't want to mention figures here but you can actually earn much more than your monthly salary from work through ventures like Digital Marketing, Affiliate Marketing or E-commerce.

How unfornate to hear this from a First class student of UI. Both BSC and MSC with distinction? This is so unfornate.

Here's my advice for you which would change your life forever.

Advice 1:
Prepare yourself to apply for scholarships abroad, as your grades are more than enough. How do you do this? Follow the Underlisted advice:

a. If you don't have a LinkedIn profile, create one ASAP, I mean right now. After that, copy this same story and tag the following persons
I. Prof. Rita Oriji. She's based in Canada and has changed the life of many first-class graduates and even 2:1 alike to meet mounthwatering scholarships abroad and even opportunities in Nigeria. One post of hers about you on LinkedIn, and in 24hrs you'd get an opportunity. The link to her profile is below.
Note: don't DM her. Make a post, and tag her.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/profritaorji

ii. Kelechukwu Onwukamike https://www.linkedin.com/in/kelechukwu-onwukamike-dr-rer-nat-ph-d-b8057336
He's based in Germany, and does same life changing opportunity provision for bright Nigerians.

Just copy your post, and tag then on your first paragraph. Rephrase to get their attention please.

Advice 2:
Join Tavel section here on Nairaland and engage with opportunities. You have a promising brain, but presently wasting. You can comeback to Nigeria when you're made by choice, but you deserve better sir

Advice 3:
Erasmus scholarship is prestly on. Go through this link, https://www.eacea.ec.europa.eu/scholarships/emjmd-catalogue_en choose the course that best align to you field, then join Erasmus Nigeria on Facebook and LinkedIn and get insights on how to apply. Your path to Europe might be just set.

Advice 4:
If you can get a loan or source funds, register for stutern's 4 months software development course, it cost 540k and After you're done, they place you to companies in Fintech or startups where you can earn anywhere from 150k to 300k. After a Year or two, you can apply for remote jobs or relaocte and start earning money people won't believe.

Sir, I'm sure when you make that likedin post, you'd get a job to sustain you while making those plans I stated above. Don't settle for less please.

I pray you tag this post with a testimony.God bless your kids and your lovely wife.

Many of the scholarship I've seen have an age barrier of not more than 35 years and that's what has discouraged me.

I've been banned by spam bot. Mods please unban me.

you're going for PHD, no age barrier. And for Erasmus, there isn't either. I'm not talking of conventional chevening and commonwealth scholarships.i mean school specific scholarships. Most Nigerians that left Nigeria to countries like Germany where 95% 30+ ( before we started abusing that route)
Your age is a barrier when you're going for BSC alone.

The best thing for OP is a scholarship tech skills will take you too long to learn and you already have two kids. Its not gonna be easy. But with seriousness you can get a scholarship before the end of next year.
