Day trading (daily buying and selling of stocks)

Swing trading (buying and selling of stocks over longer duration)

Long term (buying stocks and holding for years)

I'm no expert, so I use a stock advisor (motley fool).
It's a paid service that recommends stocks to buy and hold for the long term.
