OPEN LETTER TO THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT, LEGISLATIVE AND JUDICIARY

The Biafran Supreme Military Council of Administration [BSMCA] sends its warmest regards to the Nigerian Presidency, Legislature and Judiciary and wishes to inform you that the Biafran National Guard [BNG] has been mandated by Indigenous Biafrans to protect and defend its territories. The Indigenous Biafrans have RESOLVED to Re-Declare, Re-Actualize, Renew, Re-affirm and Restore the sovereign state of Biafra on 30th October, 2021.

The Biafran National Guard is the military wing for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra and made up of the Biafran Army, Biafran Air-Force, Biafran Navy and Biafran Detective Force. In that regard, the Peoples and Nation of Biafra make neither war, nor peace with the State or Peoples of Nigeria but exercising a Natural right, a Popular right, a Political right and right by several international laws, charters and convention which Nigeria is a signatory – the Right of Self-determination.

The peoples of Biafra desire to be independent, as the amalgamation of the southern and northern protectorates by the British to create Nigeria has not been favorable to the indigenes. Rather, Indigenous Biafrans have been melted with marginalization in political offices, public services and administrations. Also, gross insecurity from BokoHaram, Fulani Herdsmen whom are conscripted into the Nigerian Police, Military and Para-Military.

Recall, the bloody coup in January 1966 was erroneously tagged an “Igbo Coup” resulting in the massacre of Indigenous Biafrans and destruction of their properties. Meanwhile the primary agenda of the coup plotters was to overthrow the government, then release opposition leader Obafemi Awolowo, a Yoruba man, from Prison and appoint him as the Prime Minister. This truth was confirmed by one of the coup plotters named Major Wale Ademeyoga.

Fifty-one years after the Biafran Genocide, the 3Rs of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Restructure programme promulgated by Yakubu Gowon in 1970 is yet to see any form of impact in the lives of Indigenous Biafrans.

The United Nations Declaration on Rights of Indigenous Peoples Article 4 affirmed that “Indigenous peoples, in exercising their right to self-determination, have the right to autonomy or self-government in matters relating to their internal and local affairs, as well as ways and means for financing their autonomous functions.”

Also Article 6 reaffirmed that “Every indigenous individual has the right to a nationality.”

The Council is emphatically demanding for the release of innocent Biafran men and women unjustly imprisoned for over fifteen (15) years in the Onitsha and Awka Prisons simply for exercising their rights to self-determination.

These Biafran prisoners of conscience are Mrs. Onyekachi Orji, Miss Okwudiri Bassey, Uche Idikaigbo, Michael Okezie, Uchenna Nicholas, Peter Igbokwe, Ikechukwu Aghara, Chima Asor and Chinweike Irondi.

Others are Sabastine Amadi, Casmir Odakara, Ojemba Anyanwu, Eni Kalu, Ndubuisi Okam, Ikechukwu Chikwem, Emmanuel Orji, Chukwuma Kalu, Chidiebere Chikwem and Mmaduabuchi Asika. Including Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Benjamin Onwuka.

It is sheer wickedness that President Muhammadu Buhari aggressively supports the right determination of Western Sahara but brandishes weapon of warfare against Indigenous Biafrans seeking to exercise same right.

We hope we would come to an understanding with the Nigerian government on the re-declaration of the sovereignty of our nation – Biafra.

SIGNED:

General INNOCENT N. ORJI

Colonel GABRIEL ONWUKWE

[Deputy Head BNG/BSMCA],

Unity should not be by force. Different regions peacefully agreed to be part of Nigeria. If they are no longer interested in the union, they should be allowed to peacefully exit.

That your map will not work o.

Best to limit yourselves to the 5 southeastern states for now.

That's the only way you'll get the support of UN.

Un will never allow you to forcefully amalgamate other ethnicities who don't want to be in your Biafra.

There must be command and control in any standard army nah .. there must be a Leader who is the General , however it's only during battle we can test the General better

Who created SS and SE...?

Simply say carry your Igbo people and leave.

Besides you will still have more than 110 million people between the north and their cousins the SW...

This is why you guys are getting everything from Nigeria while the eastern Nigeria are just watching.

For now Biafra Military is still acting on the mandate given to Ojukwu by the Eastern Region council .

They do not recognize south South Region but Eastern Region so the same Map is still applicable until maybe if there is a plebiscite /referendum and South South decide to join Nigeria

You don't need my validation to sustain your believes. I reacted generally to make a point; the old eastern region as it were was not drawn today... So referendum is a viable tool to know if the old eastern concept is in tune with current realities...

Since those guys think they have the might to defend the biafran territory against Nigerian military aggression why not use your power to strike those prisons you mentioned and release those prisoners of conscience??

Why must you threaten to declare Biafra first??

I'm a pro biafran but I don't no why I'm seeing this guy's as agent of Nigeria..

The Nigerian government will invade the east and kill innocent people in the name of fighting these guys..
