@Laduna1,

#Thank you too, actually its being pleasure discussing with your eloquent self, I commend!

#I only tried to make an analogy by relating fana with dream, thats fana-fi-fana ~ dream within a dream vis-a-vis.

#Yes, the deeper one progresses on the ladder of gnosis the more the individual self gets trapped in absentness (fana).

#The glory of wilayya which is maarifa is classified into 2 - the inferior for the “choosen“ & the superior for the “choosen“ of the “choosen“

#The theophany of the choosen (they are comprised of natives of wilayyatul sugra & kubra with the exception of the fard-l-jaami ) constitutes the partial or total effacement (fana) of the individual self but with the awareness of that fana still retained in the subconcious of the faani. So whatever the level of fana whether in acts or attributes or in essence it self so far the awareness of such still remains while in that state, such is still within the inferior class of theophany.

#Then the theophany of the choosen of the choosens is literarily the total effacement of the individual self while trapped in the state of the previous fana (thats what i was alluding to as “dream within a dream“).

#Those occupying the acme of the previous class do experience this unique state momentarily...it doesnt endure for them (as i earlier stated in previous post) but a permanent condition for the choosen of the choosen (al-qutb al-jaami).

Thanks.

@Emekaraj, you wlcm back...loool @ being afraid.

@Laduna1,

But in regards to the quoted hadith, the class of wilayya described by the holy Prophet (s.a.w) there in, is the superior class (wilayyatul kubra), which comes after the completion of ma‘arifa & after individuality has been attained, @least from fardaniyya to qutbaniyyatul uzma.

Those are the ones who have access to محبة الذات , the unique divine love he‘s refering to.

That state is momentarily accessible (hal) for the floor members of wilayyatul kubra but a permanent state (maqam) for the al-qutbul al-jami‘. Those qualities mentioned are strictly qutbaniyya‘s affair.

Memory grin I always love when Sheikh Sulaimon Faruq Onikijika Al-miskin BiLlah distinguishes Sheikh Adam Abdullah Al-ilory (ra) with the title صاحب ولاية کبریٰ in all of his lectures.

"Ike Olohun, Ola Olohun ko lo ma baba wa صاحب ولاية کبریٰ fadilatul Sheikh Adam Abdullah Al-ilory"

Our learned ones, can anyone throw light on Quran 3 vs 26-27?
I recently found myself inexplicably curious about the verses.
Say: 'O Allah, Lord of all dominion! You give dominion to whom You will, and take away dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and abase whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. Surely You are All-Power-ful. You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account."

The verses are very clear and not ambiguous at all. Maybe you should be specific about your concern?. However, verse 27 may not be understood by some people due to geographical location but it is still generally understood bcus it applies to every part of the world. But it is clearer when people travel to the West. The second verse will be clear to them if they are familiar with the verse before heading Westward. The verse is talking about Summer and Winter i:e You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night;. Like right now in North America, it gets dark by 4:30PM (Maghrib). By 5:50PM it is Ishai. This is winter time.

In summer time, we have long day. Maghrib starts around 8:30 to9PM. Ishai around 10PM. Winter has just started. By January, Maghrib will be around 4PM. So in winter time it is short day long night. Currently, Fajr is 5:40AM. Zuhr 11:40AM. Asr 2PM. Maghrib 4:30PM. Isai 5:50PM. Summer time: Fajr 4AM. Zuhr 2PM. Asr 5PM maghrib 8:30PM. Ishai 10PM. You can see it is drastic change in time which Africa doesn't experience. This is my own "tafsir". There are other tafsir and or asbabun nuzul relating to the verse that may have historical context such as Abul A'la Maududi tafsir. He said about Q3:27 Those who disbelieved and disobeyed were seen to be prosperous, whereas the believers, with their devotion and loyalty to God, suffered all the deprivation, persecution and torment to which the Prophet and his followers were subjected around the year 3 A.H. The contrasting states of the two groups of men were the reverse of what would naturally be expected. This raised disturbing questions in people's minds about the underlying wisdom of this phenomenon. The verse conveys God's answer.

In the same verse 27, "and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living." Women can answer this lol. We have witnessed pregnant women died during labor and baby was taken out of them alive. We have also seen dead babies pulled out of surviving mother during labor. But again, Abul A'la Maududi tafsir about Q3:27 Those who disbelieved and disobeyed were seen to be prosperous, whereas the believers, with their devotion and loyalty to God, suffered all the deprivation, persecution and torment to which the Prophet and his followers were subjected around the year 3 A.H. oh ok. Got you. In most cases, most verses have esoteric meaning (tawil) in addition to exoteric or external observation (Tafsir). But scholars deal with people based on their levels. I do not know beyond the elementary I already posted. You may have to consult Sufi shuyukh such as Sheikh Abdul Malik Adebayo Babaloworo for indepth meaning.

Salam Alaikum.

Those two verses are a divine reflection of what is popularly known as Yin and Yang in the Eastern (Chinese) culture.
We live in a plane of existence where the number 2 holds sway, hence opposites:
rich and poor
strong and weak
happy and sad
full and empty
life and death
big and small
night and day
silent and loud
man and woman
etc

Each and every one of us at any point in time will be in one of such states, not by accident, but by Allah's full knowledge.
Al-Malik Al-Mulk is the overall King of kings, Sovereign of all sovereigns.
The 2 facets; Jalal and Jamal are completely His to bestow on whomsoever He wishes.
Basically, these 2 verses are for the following, though there are more:

Those who seek power (this is not bad provided it is for the sake of Allah).
Those who have been stripped of power.
Those who have or are facing disgrace/ character assassination/ridicule.
Those who wish to be honoured by Allah's creations.
Those who want dominance in certain fields or areas of life.
Those who are threatened of harm from/by others.
Those with terminal illnesses.
Those who have good health and seek for more.
Those who observe their hearts have become hardened.
Those who observe certain bad trait(s) and wish to overcome it/them.
Those who observe within them certain good trait(s) and wish to increase it/them.
Those who observe the light of their Iman dying.
Those who wish not to be jealous of others' good fortune.
Those who wish to put their trust completely in Allah without a doubt.
Those who wish to be patient in their trials while awaiting Allah's Mercy and Ease.
Those who wish for an abundance of Rizk (not just money) from Allah.

When you call on Al-Malik Al-Mulk, you know you are calling on The One...none shares this position with Him!

yes that's it. It automatically reset an hour back and an hour forward during winter and summer. Only manual clocks such as wall clock, car etc that you say manually. The rest automatically reset such as computer, cell phones. You wake up the following day and they already set themselves from Eastern Standard Time
to
Central Standard Time
to
Mountain Standard Time
to
Pacific Standard Time
to
Alaska Standard Time
to
Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time

Vice versa

That's why New York times zone is 5hrs difference from Nigeria in summer, 6hrs difference in the winter.
