GraciousWords: Thanks for this.. Went through the link you provided and I'm highlighting the statement below for clarification. If the applicant claims a stepbrother or stepsister, there should be NO evidence in the application that the marriage or common-law relationship between the parents of the stepbrother or stepsister has broken down. Does this mean they do not have to prove anything, as it's actually difficult to prove but make sure the application form does not contradict their claim? And I forgot to add that Olamide's father is late.. Thanks for your anticipated response |

Is it possible for someone to change the format of a gift deed used in the PNP application when applying for federal application? If accompanying spouse is a Civil Servant, will he /she fill "employment or government" while filling his person history? |

Openedheavens: To me, the statement in italics means the marriage between Ayo's parent and Olamide's parent should NOT have broken down = they should still be married = the marriage still exists. I don't think it means the statement in red. In general, applicants need to prove whatever they claim. They shouldn't provide zero documents and hope that some other random document does not contradict their claim, get it? If Olamide's father is late, then I don't believe Ayo can claim a step sibling whose dad is no longer married to Ayo's mum because he is late. This is my understanding...I may be wrong as I am not an immigration lawyer/expert...just a VO in training 5 Likes |

Just got LOI for Ontario and just started a 2 year Msc in the UK. Should I accept or just decline and wait for something else considering the high cost of the application fee for Ontario? NOC 2172 |

Question please - A friend of mine who just recently did his court wedding a month ago didn’t add his spouse to his profile yet because they haven’t done the trad and white. They intend to do those in 2 months time. He got PNP nomination today. Please what should they do? What’s the way forward for them. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by GraciousWords: 5:52pm On Oct 27, 2021 |
Saintimakuh: I would ACCEPT it if it were me. Think about the CAD1,500 as part the cost of permanent residence in Ontario. From what I know of the UK, the earliest you may get ILR is in 5 years all things being equal. Not even sure of the PG work visa counts towards ILR. You can still finish up your masters and decide on next steps when you get PPR in the future. 7 Likes |

Sijubabs: I don't think passport expiring is a problem. Renew and update your EE profile. Also use new passport for OINP application. Hope it comes out before OINP deadline. 1 Like |

Dennyjuff: I think even without trad or white, he is now married. What would his CRS have been, had he added his spouse after his marriage a month ago (accompanying or not accompanying). If his CRS would still have got him the nomination, then no wahala. If the CRS would not have got him the NOI then.......... I don't know if OINP consider a marital status difference before and after NOI to be a major issue, if marriage actually happened before NOI. It would be an issue for FSW ITA for sure if the married CRS is less than the unmarried ITA CRS....don't know about OINP. Read here for someone who got married before NOI but had not updated her profile when she got the NOI....don't know if she asked OINP or just went ahead...maybe reach out to find out how she resolved it. https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/306#97167918 https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/307#97172121 1 Like |

Congrats OINP peeps. Remember to read the documents required list and authorise your ECA to be shared with OINP if you used WES or CES. https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/641#104010257 3 Likes 2 Shares |
