Barcelona should have found away around it. He is already playing with Garcia in the National team.

The yeye García is even costing us some games

Well koeman is surely the problem ,players go do well for national team and come club come play nonsense

Laporte wanted to leave. He suffered less playing time at City due to the synergy in the John Stones and Ruben Dias connection. That partnership meant Laporte was no more key.

However, Barcelona's financial woes meant the deal could not happen. I think a trade and loan deal would have helped them land Laporte but Barca hierarchy felt they could manage without him but it has backfired.

I am glad laporte is back at the starting lineup ,Na injury give stones chance and stones took his chance well

Why won’t laporte want to leave when you know you are better than the player benching you grin

That is why for a long time, I have criticised a negative set up for the team. We need to play an offensive formation and defend as a unit with high press and zone press.

That should he our model and do it over time. With that, we can get the best out of our gifted forwards.
Amuneke u17 formation would suit this present SE setup so well.
Though I am not vouching for Amuneke because I don't trust any Nigerian coaches, despite the fact that he is tactically sound.
Can't someone like Dangote or Otedola or Abdusamad Rabiu or all of them joined together help Nigeria and Nigerians employ Wenger and give him Amuneke to act as his Nigerian Assistant? Wenger has been free and I know he wouldn't turn down Nigeria because overtime he has proven to love blacks. With Wenger as SE coach, na just #100 recharge voucher and players like Eze, Olise and other quality FB will rush to play for Nigeria

Wenger won't take our coaching job simply because of his FIFA position and I don't think Wenger is interested in coaching anymore.

I will still take Amunike over Wenger because of he already has understanding of most of the players. Worked with the likes of Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Chidera Ejuke, Chukwueze, Osimhen, and others. He will have in-depth ideas on how to get the best from them, harness other talents and draft a progressive plan for the future.

Wenger will mean experimenting but Amunike already has ideas of the team. Remember they all used to camp together.

Also, he will share the philosophy of most coaches running the game today.

Amunike remains my pick.

I agree with you but it is tough. Stones and Dias are just solid but Laporte brings something they both can't.

Passing dictation from the back and Laporte's long balls are frightening. He is a solid weapon.

Glad he stayed because he is an asset to the team.

Whoever takes over has a lot of work. From Valverde, to Sentien, and now Koeman. I feel the problem is bigger than just getting a good coach.

Amazing.

The only reason I wanted Osimhen to go to Napoli was because of the love they showed in the initial stage. That love is shining now.

Velverde was just bottling champions league that’s why he was sacked grin

Laliga was just to easy For him ,he even won Madrid 4 times during the Classico almost going unbeaten in the league ,if he had knocked out Liverpool maybe he would have been loved

Stones really impressed me last season ,stones could not start 6 consecutive epl games for 3 good season before last season ,same stones that could not even play ahead of otamendi who was on his worst form

Even Pinnick and Rohr are also shamelessly clamouring for Ighalo. Ighalo is the top scorer at the last AFCON and currently the top scorer in the Saudi league, put some respect on his name and stop all these amateur analysis.coaches and football administrators are in support of Ighalo's return, those against it are school boy analyst
Only 1% is in support of recalling ighalo,
U can search other sports sites, twitter,IG,other sports pages n read what people were saying,n count how many were in support

They know the team more than we do but they cannot bring out the best from the well known team.

Ive asked you this question before and I'd ask you again, is it that chances are being created and the strikers are found wanting that we need the experienced Ighalo or why do we really need him?

The big man doing his thing

In far back water league
While his mates are in Italy doing wonders

Giroud, Zlatan etc are still balling in italy putting up goals and assists even in Spain we have Benzema

If ighalo was this good he should have been in mainstream europe scoring goals for fun since he has the experience you claimed

Oshimen, Taiwo for their age has better experience scoring high profile goals than him

He obviously need the super eagles call up to resurrect his career

I just wish Insigne will be magnanimous enough and pass the mantle of taken penalties to Osimhen. Insigne has had 5 penalties for Napoli this season and he has missed 3. Imagine Osimhen been the one who has taken those 5 penalties and he had scored maybe 4, his league goal tally would have been 5 now and he would have been topping the goalscorers chart
