zuchyblink:Sir it seems you are getting it wrongs. The issue is not about Ighalo benching Osimehn cos Ighalo of today cannot bench Osimehn and I want to say it without sentiment that level playing ground,Ighalo will find it tough to play ahead of Awoniyi,I might sound funny for saying this but that's my opinion. Rohr is the coach and he said he want Ighalo back,no issue, everything stop at his desk as a coach. Osimehn,Taiwo,Onuachu,Moffi and Ighalo,no lele,na the same eagles. 5 Likes |

nelszx: You can say that he is better than Simon when he hasn’t backed it up even at Belgium league, let alone French league. Trust me, as soon as he proves himself at a decent league, he would be invited. You can’t compare his case to an ex United player 2 Likes 1 Share |

Yes it's premature to start declaring Amoo is better than any winger at the moment. That said the boy has skills and has been good in an admittedly poorer Swedish league but talents like him deserve a closer look. It's not like we have AMs killing it everywhere at the moment 12large1: 3 Likes |

chrisooblog: When I think of am, I am referring to Zidane, rui costa, kaka, iniesta players that dictate the tempo of a game. Is amoo like any of these 4 players or he is just another dribbling winger? I don’t rate Swedish league so I cannot vouch for his quality |

If ighalo takes his spot,he will wait for another two years to get back to d team. 4 Likes |

These kinds of AMs are generational talents that come every once in a blue moon so it's a little unfair to judge the boy against those great players. Personally it wouldn't hurt to invite him and see what he can do because like I said earlier the AM position is threadbare at the moment. 12large1: 5 Likes |

We don't have AMs that is the brutal truth. How many african AMs do you know at the moment that play for top clubs? Based on eye test Amoo is obviously gifted. Let him come and be assessed. Nobody is saying we should just dash him the AM position in the starting XI. Boy is a potential solution to the SE creative problems. 12large1: 2 Likes |

12large1: Which of our players is like Salah and Mane? Some people here even claimed all our strikers are better than Ighalo and from what I deduced they believe those players have surpassed Ighalo’s achievements. I couldn’t but shake my head and move on because I no wan waste my time arguing. If we say Ighalo will block the chances of those strikers doing well currently, I can agree with that but don’t out to claim Ighalo was trash. Which of them don play for big club like ManU? 3 Likes |

chrisooblog:Besides, no one knows tomorrow. He might just be a big player tommorow. From all indications he will make it. The Scandinavian leagues are like red bull Salzburg. They develop talent s and sell them to top 10 leagues of Europe. That in fact hammarbys plan for him and Ibrahimovic is really excited about him. He is one for the future. I'll say one of the few false 9 to come out of Nigeria. I have said it before and I'm saying it again. Akinkunmi amoo is a false 9 and this is unique |

Mujtahida:what Rohr actually said was ‘we have good players not the stars who can make the difference alone’. He was asked the team’s playing style and he said it is to defend and attack as a group as we don’t have players like Salah and Mane who can make the difference alone. Following Nigerian politics, I’ve learnt to always read/watch the full statement as Nigerian journalists are very notorious with click baiting 4 Likes 1 Share |

When asked why he’s trying to recall ighalo he said ‘we miss his leadership, we miss his experience, we miss his goals we have a lot young strikers and they could learn from him’. The way this man is describing Ighalo I had to make sure he’s not talking about Luis Suarez. I think he doesn’t have faith in his present crop of strikers which is very bad 6 Likes |
