MondayJusaw:My brother or sister , you need to understand the basics of whatever you’re investing your hard earned money in / on , if not you’ll keep getting scammed because the scammers know you don’t have an idea of what’s up. First of all just google Canada immigration pathways and also go on Canadavisa.com , go on the express entry thread to see what’s up. You’ll be surprised how much you’ll learn about immigrating to Canada via an extensive and simple google search . All the best 6 Likes 1 Share |

Eddy4400:Hello, did you have to pay the application fees again in the new application which I assume you would. Secondly, did you get a refund for the previous application in August or do we write a mail requesting for refund. |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Debbieeeeeee: 6:09pm On Oct 31, 2021 |
Yemisi2015:Just to chip in to part of your question, I read on the website that you have to pay for the new application and the previous visa fees may not be refunded. |

I am sure by now Canada has over 3million applications from Nigeria alone. Multiply this by 100 dollars. The Consulate is on a roll. 1 Like |

I've spent almost a thousand dollars. The first application was $300. Then I submitted a second application a month ago and spent $385 as one of my children reached age for Biometrics. Unfortunately, I used my previous account rather than the new web portal so I had to reapply again last week as soon as I realised my mistake (thanks to someone here on Nairaland) through the new portal and paid another $300. After all this stress, it's the approval that concerns me more. In fact, you reach a stage when you just want an outcome so you can move on and plan ahead. I thought it will be easy as I already had soft copies of documents used a month ago only to discover the 2MB limit so I had to start working on the documents all over again (Except straightforward docs like NIN, International Passport and Apart from the initial updates, I got an update 2 days later in the portal which were application summary documents (PDF files). I also noticed that biometrics were updated for the applicants with biometrics when I checked the portal upon receipt of their email. Is this normal? The waiting continues. Yemisi2015: 1 Like |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by AyabaS: 6:21pm On Nov 01, 2021 |
galala123: Passport photograph? That wasn’t part of the required documents when I was resubmitting. I thought it was weird but since it wasn’t requested, I didn’t bother. Do I send it via webform? Also, that 2mb limit was so restrictive plus the portal kept rejecting documents merged or compressed with websites like ilovepdf. I spent almost 6 hours adjusting and putting the documents together before it finally uploaded. 1 Like |

AyabaS: Same here, did not see the option to submit a passport photograph. It was not part of my required documents to submit. |

You are right, just crossed checked my document submission list. It was NIN that I uploaded and not Passport photograph. AyabaS: |

Yes, it's already stated you'll pay new application fees. Though refunds aren't guaranteed, I filled a webform to withdraw old application and requested for a refund. I also mentioned they've received PPR for new application and included payment reference number for old application Yemisi2015: 1 Like |

I didn't fill this for my parents....your brother is an immediate family member, not extended as indicated on the form. Except your application is somewhat for a different purpose For a visitor's visa, just follow the steps in the new application for immediate family members, almost all forms required are manually filled unlike the old application where you had to attach completed forms. If required, you'll fill this along the line. Oceanfield: |

Guys, Please can i travel to Canada this month? I am fully vaccinated. I had my visa 2019. I have travelled to Canada once and i came back earlier. Will i be permitted at the POE? Also, is there any likely questions i can be ask at the POE. I do not have friends there anyway. Please kindly advise. Thanks |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by mrprolifik: 12:50pm On Nov 02, 2021 |
bishopkinkin:. I applied for the visa online myself , no help from anybody. You can do it yourself it's not difficult all you need is just to have a good internet connection and a means of scanning some of the documents that might be required from you. |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by mrprolifik: 12:54pm On Nov 02, 2021 |
Heledy:Yes as far as you are fully vaccinated you are good but you might also need a negative covid 19 molecular test( pcr) taken within 72hrs before your flight to Canada. Without the negative pcr test you will not be allowed to board the airplane to Canada. You can check by downloading the arrivecan app. It will guide you. |
