I do not think its a big win for Onitsha people like you said. They will still using their airport which is Asaba airport.

Asaba Airport it closest to Onitsha and its environs...
How can someone from Onitsha use Asaba Airport when he/she can drive down to Umueri within 20 minutes without traffic unlike Asaba with heavy traffic at Headbridge

Only one airline they have attracted? While constructing weren't they reaching out to attract airlines? This is a big failure on the marketing department. How will the airport now generate enough money for its operation?.... for maintenance?... for staff? They need to do a lot more urgently or this project will have to be heavily subsidized.... continuously or become a white elephant.

Big congratulations to ndi Anambra.
We kept faith with APGA and so far it has not been bad, although there is room for improvement. I like APGA'S drive towards making Anambra an economic power.

Finally, Willie is a true son of the soil. He loves his state and knows what's up. God bless the Light that we bear.

Let the airport road remain safe. That's my worry. That airport road should be manned 24hours by security personnel. It would be a soft target for all those robbers since the road passed through villages known for strifes, violent crimes and armed robbery.

People landing in that airport are not going to umureri. Some would be going to Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi,Enugu or even to other neighbouring States like Kogi and Delta. The importance of secured airport road can't be over emphasize.

Congratulations!

Will you just STFU! Conjuring up all sorts of criminality that exists in your bigoted and envious mind just to try and demarket Anambra! What's your own state? Let's see if criminality in Anambra is any worse than what obtains in your state or region!

The murder of all those prominent individuals in Anambra were carried out by northern elements with ties to the northern hegemony and Aso Rock, and their aim is to pin the murders on IPOB/ESN to justify the 'terrorist' tag they wickedly gave them! I expect them to murder more individuals in the run-up to the elections in the state, because they don't want Soludo to win....they'd much prefer a useless individual with a question mark on his integrity to govern the state! 'We can't have an accomplished, independent-minded and visionary 'nyamiri' governing one of their states, so he doesn't develop them 'too much' and isn't subservient to us'.....that's part of their thinking!

THIS IS NOT BAD NEWS ABOUT BIAFRA, ESN or IPOB. WATCH AS THE USUAL IGBO HATERS WITHOUT ORDINARY MOTOR PARKS IN THEIR STATES WILL AVOID THIS THREAD. AND YET THE FEW WHO CANT CONTROL THEMSELVES WILL TRY TO THROW SAND-SAND ON THE ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Airpeace was a stakeholder in this project and they paid for land in the airport for some projects they want to carry out. All I see here is the government granting them right of first refusal which is normal. Other airlines should go & hustle like them too . Aviation is not an easy business
