My most embarrassing moment was with Saint Obi around 2003/4 at Asabana Hotel, Asaba when I just finished secondary school and was prospecting for admission into higher institution.

They came to act a movie set on the Hotel with Clem Ohameze and a host of others.

Back then I was a waiter who served beverages and food. When he placed an order for a chilled beer, I served him at the garden.

Could you believe that Saint Obi started yelling at me for no just cause. I stood there dumbfounded. He then claimed that the beer isn't chilled which was in fact a lie.

That attracted the attention of the hotel manager who quickly came to the scene and inquired what happened.

After long appeasement, he finally opened up that I served him beer with a cold face. Did I not know who he was? I couldn't even smile or get excited that I am serving him beer..

My boss then, the hotel manager broke into laughter and dismissed me right away to attend to other needs at the hotel.

I felt so embarrassed that I felt like exploding. I just wished I was God that very day, I will command the Earth to open its mouth and swallow him completely.

Since that day, I hated him and stopped watching his movies. God answered my prayers and that summer, I got admission and have to leave the hotel job for good.

As a waiter, it's customary to serve your customers with a smile, celebrity or not.

I thought no one could see through her controversy and fake chats/comments.

Most of the accounts there are hacked accounts or a joined effort to make her seem real. Even the testimonies are fake.

On my way out, saw a really tall figure walking in front, and pushing a baby trolley; I said to myself: “ This person looks like Mike of Bigbrother”. He turned facing my direction with a weird smirk, which turned into a straight face. I just face my front sharp, me wey be wan smile hail em before, I just face my way fast fast..


Came in to get gasoline in a gas station around festac, saw sound sultan, I hailed him with a subtle smile. He was overly amiable, smiled and even said goodbye to me when he was leaving. He looked far better in reality than pictures and videos. This was early this year. God bless his soul.


Another affable celebrity I have met was Sen Abaribe. We needed some sort of approval from him regarding a project, We got connected to him through his relative. He was so warm and welcoming. He is a rare gem I must say.


Let’s give these guys benefit of doubts, most of them are finding the celeb life extra demanding.
