Our police self, their busy-body too much. It's like our Nigerian Police does not have a Fire Service and Emergency Unit. Their(police) job was supposed to be to secure the place while other qualified government personnel do the job. Everything police, when robbery and kidnapping dey happen, we no go see them only to be harassing innocent citizens most times 36 Likes |

Is like ignorance is fully embedded in the DNA of Nigerians, a building collapse the whole area is very volatile with people trapped under rubbles, any wrong footing can crush the people under and one idiot wants to carry crowd and go there, Any untrained person there will definetly make matters worse for the people trapped under the rocks. Nawa Anywhere in the world the first thing the police do is to seal of the area and wait for rescue teams to do their work. Infact I even commend the police for what they did, I am even surprise cause such professionalism is not something you see from Nigerian police Kudos to them 179 Likes 13 Shares |

As much as it’s a painful situation, I believe it’s normal protocol anywhere in the world for police to take charge of such locations and allow licensed emergency personnels to work. Sometimes more disasters happen during rescue operations. It’s good that they wanted to help but the police had to do what they did imo. 42 Likes 3 Shares |

That is the standard practice anywhere in the world. In America or Europe, the scene would be restricted by yellow tapes and only paramedics, government forces and investigators will work within the confines of the yellow tape to rescue the trapped victims. When the cause of a building collapse is yet to be ascertained, it is safe to ask members of the public to stay away. 26 Likes 2 Shares |

What do they teach these policemen at their recruitment exercise? It seems they derive joy from being stupid and insensitive. Please we need to flush out illiterates from our police force. If you're a graduate and jobless please try applying for the force but have it in mind that those who would be your boss are the same illiterate currently in the system but try to enforce little change in your area, little by little we will fill the police force with sane minds and flush out these fools. |

We're in Ember months as well as closed to campaign/election year. Similar incidence happened in port harcourt and both incidence happened to a building under construction. The same police prevented people from rescuing in port harcourt. The main aim of the planned collaps is for people to die so until enough people are dead, they won't be ordered to allow mass rescue. The thing is, these men (police) are following orders. This is ritual killing and don't be surprised to see another incidence similar to this happening in another state during these periods. When we're close to election, what you will hear is, tanker explosion, truck running into crowd, etc. and this always happen at the close of the year mostly towards election year. Just see how this case will be thrown under carpet like it happened in PH. Na them them. |
