Hello house, I just came across this thread and it's exciting to see lots of people have gotten their visa already. Please I am in the process of applying online. But I will consider myself as a novice, yes I have read somethings and documents I'll need but I'm not convinced that I know it all. I really don't want to make a mistake, or atleast get denied due to my mistake. Hence I'll plead for the assistance of the pro in the house, someone who's already gone the route and succeeded, I will love to follow your steps, not copy you but get an idea of what you did. But all documents needed is available.Can I change this current application from standard to priority? (Because I have noticed that there is a serious delay in response from these visa people judging from experiences shared here and those of the people I know personally)Or would I need to cancel outrightly, if I cancel this current one and begin another. How long will the refund take - I paid for standard visa and premium lounge (42k naira). Sorry to hear all your story is very touching but God is with you...

Well with the little of my experience I had ...

1First of first you are category as a self employed, since you are doing a business but is not registered or having business account . But you can claimed a petty trader to make it easier by writing cover letter explain it and if you can get the invoice or receipt of what you are doing or selling.

2. Your inlaw will submit he or she birth certificate to claim as your inlaw and he will send the money for sponsor you into your account and write a cover letter when he transfer the money and what the money meant for and write a well cover letter explaining all whole thing eg as your inlaw and the reason he wanted to sponsor you and since your husband is late you have been depressed and the family want you to change the atmosphere etc.
3. You need to submit your married certificate alongside with your late husband death certificate.
4. Yes you have to prove that you have a children by submit their birth cert, pic you took together etc.
5. Staying in the hotel is not a crime but try to cut your visit to 2 weeks so that you won't spend a lot .
6. Yes you can apply and opt to priority if you can afford it.

8. Your budget is too high for hotel and flight try and look for a cheaper hotel and your fight, is not compulsory you go with BA lol

9. Why are they sponsor you in the form put the reason your inlaw is sponsor you also write the cover letter ma.

10. Yes write your itinerary and specific what you wanted to do for each day eg. Dec 19: arriving in Heathrow air port, Dec 20: taking untimately time out to rest, dec 20 visit Buckingham palace,Dec 21visit London eye etc
Don't do breaking down your budget you can just say your visit will cost you soso.

Please try and cutting down your budget is too high hotel and flight couldn't cost you more than 500 pounds and extra 100 pounds for miscellaneous .

I'm just advising oooo about your budget ma but try and cut it down is too high

Sir for the flight the least I've seen is 476k air france. And hotel in booking.com , I went for the least price which was also around that rate, although it's reduced now after I reduced the days to 14. Do you have any idea about a cheaper hotel reservation and flights I could check out?

Madam you can use Egypt airline price budget for your visa application just for you to got the visa then you can fly with any airline of your choice, I have attached airline for you on wakanow, also there are cheaper hotel for 15 night reservation see the attached below ...please cut down your budget and shopping is not compulsory ok

I uploaded the below;

Introduction from my work place, confirmation letter, leave approval, 6 months pay slip, 6 months salary statement, 6 months savings account statement and my piggyvest statement.

Balance in all accounts summed up to abt N1.5million. I belong to a thrift/cooperative where i make contributions monthly, so i got a letter from them stating my total contributions year to date (got the idea somewhere on this thread). I also attached the contract of a running investment. All of these debits (investment and cooperative) can be seen in my Savings account statement, which i listed and explained in my cover letter.

I transferred my savings from my piggybank to my savings account (because i read on this thread that someone's visa was refused for financial reasons, even though she had enough funds in her piggyvest account, of which she attached the statement). I felt it was going to stick out as unexplained deposit, that was why i attached my piggybank statement, then i explained in my cover letter that i moved the funds so as to access it once visa was approved.

I also attached my sponsors One Month Bank statement, proof of address, BRP, introduction letter explaining our relationship and University registration letter as he is a student.

Would be happy to provide further clarifications to any more enquiry

Just letting this out even priority sometikes is useless I paid for priority since September 23rd my visa isn't out yet student dependant the last 3 times I call the ukvi I was told a decision has been made since first week in October. And still yet I am yet to get my passport back. No refusal was sent to me yet even till now I have escalated 2twicw and finally on Monday after going to cry at tls vi I was called by this landline 014535191 which I guess is a Nigerian number for ukvi that the embassy are resolving my case that I should be patient
My prayer now is that they do not reopen in my case for any reason cause I have transferred my money from my Uba bank to my other account that I will be using when I am in the UK because after I heard a decision has been made I just started planning my trip it's God that said I should have not paid for my ticket
Please. Is it possible for them to reopen after decision is made
And is it possible for them to refuse someone without sending a refusal mail I heard of recent that you get a refusal mail immediately a visa is refused even before get your passport back

If you can track your application and it showed transferred to VAC without getting an email yet, your passport Should be ready for collection. I tracked this morning and it showed transferred to VAC and tried my luck to see if it’s available and I was told it’s ready but they are yet to scan it into the into system and I was given. Visa approved the 6th renewal though.

It took 8 good weeks to get ready since the day of submission. Biometrics. Sep 7 and collected passport back nov 3. If you can’t wait and able to afford priority just pay for it and it should be ready in one week.

NB:Your intend travel date has nothing to do with your visit when your visa is approved. You can travel anytime after u get your visa.
