No reasonable government will fight herself. When you are technically fighting people that are helping in sustaining peace and security of the people you govern because you want protect the selfish interests of your kinsmen is purely undiluted foolishness. The north is boiling with boko haram , the south east is boiling with ipob . Do this government think if what is happening in Anambra happen in all the southern states in 2023 can contain it .This government need to have a rethink. You can everyone ,you are fighting amotekun , fighting Ipob ,fighting boko haram when will this government have peace . 4 Likes 2 Shares |

as a matter of fact, the reason army stated as leaving the checkpoint was unprofessional, how can army be saying they're arresting only Fulani, if these people keep committing crime, do they need to arrest innocent indigene with them? why am I even seeing the mounting of the checkpoints as a spy for these Fulani invasion, so army have checkpoint in Ondo state yet there is influx of herdsmen in Ondo state just empowered Amotekun more, give vigilante assess to back them up then the Army will remained the useless that UK magazine predicted they're 6 Likes 1 Share |

There should be legal backing for Amotekun to carry sophisticated weapons. In saner clime Army shouldn't be at any check point at such, they're trained to kill. They're warriors. However whatever motive behind their withdrawal, AMOTEKUN STANDS TALL. NO GOING BACK 6 Likes |

JAMO84:Yes, they are useless and it's a good thing Aketi is crying out now; not in fear, but let the world know he spoke out because when he empowers Amotekun and they start fighting back, people will understand his point because The useless checkpoint deserters are the ones that'll still go and lead attackers to the state. But God is bigger than them! 10 Likes |

Could there be any genuine reason for this withdrawal? If this is true, it was done to allow freedom of action for marauding Fulani herdsmen. Perhaps an attack is imminent, and Ondo state government should not allow this security vacuum to persist. 1 Like |
