I know this was meant for me but tbh,I don't care because have seen this scenario play out in my favour all the time. Is Azipculeta not playing the right wing back for both club and country just fine? Didn't ancient of days Daniel Alves leave Barcelona to make UCL finals with juventus? Football is played with the head using your legs as tools and that's all about Marcelo, so if he is hungry for newer challenge,I don't see why I won't yearn for his signature.

I will always make a case for coutinho's problem at Barca as been played out of position. How will you sign a midfielder and put him on the wing? It's like bayern Munich signing xavi in his prime and put him on the wing to replace Ribery. Look at his position in the national team and compared to what he is playing at the club.

I don’t rate Marcelo, even in his prime. He’s a very big defensive liability.

I remember one match, Madrid vs Roma where Salah couldn’t stop messing with him like Bale did to the likes of Maicon and Lucio in 2010/11 UCl. I hate defensive liabilities, that’s why I still have some love for Werner because he’s not a liability in any way.
