Kindly help with this issue of POF.

I have enough money in my dollar account but it has only been there for two weeks, though I have a proof of salary coming into that account for the past 3 months. Also I have a letter of introduction from my employee verifying that I earn what comes into my dollar account.

Do I need to wait for that one to be there for a month before going to the embassy or it’s ok already like that?

It would open. Just be playing around the platform every 3 days with your passport details by your side. You would be surprised that you would find a date in no distant time.

My concern is as a PhD student spouse in France can I work legally? Because I have a business here in Nigeria and I don't want to leave it to go and work illegally in another mans land.

Also if I'm to join my wife in France for the remaining duration of her study what type of Visa will I apply for?

You will be applying for a Family Reunion visa but it is your wife that will initiate the process at her Local Prefecture in France and it is when they give the go-ahead, you can then apply for the visa in Naija. As a dependant, you have the right to work. There are some stringent requirements though - she must have been in France for 18 months, earning at least 1,200€ and her apartment size should not be less than 28m²

The process is stressful & could be annoying but it will be best for her to consult a local immigration lawyer to help with the plenty French documents and application forms.
