Hello just wise and other gurus in the house, when printing out my statement of account for my proof of funds, do I print out from the very first day the money was deposited into the account or the next day. Thank you

Print from the day after so that the lump sum deposited in your account will not show.
It is better that way and makes ur application easier to consider.
No lump sum deposit, no red flag, just a regular account with regular transactions.

Sidenote, it would have been better if u made a transaction the day after u made ur deposit (even if it is N500 naira) because from the software that most banks use to generate ur account statement, the dates that will appear on ur statement of account are dates of transaction.

Example:
1)You made a lump sum deposit on the 1st of November

2) the next transaction u make is on the 7th of November

Now, if you try to print your statement from the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,or 6th of November (in order to avoid the deposit of the lump sum u did on the 1st of November to show in ur account statement,
The starting date that will be on ur statement of account will be 7th of November as ur account didn't record any activity on the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th and 6th.
In other words, u can not see:
-N0 transaction on 2nd November
-N0 transaction on 3rd November
-N0 transaction on 4th November
-N0 transaction on 5th November
-N0 transaction on 6th November. In essence, those dates will not appear on ur account statement because u had no transaction on those days. So, nothing to capture.

This means that ur 28 days statement computation/counting will be affected if u decide not to show the lump sum deposit as 2nd to 6th November (5 important days in the life of your application) will not be captured in ur statement of account.

Hope this helps.

I get what you are trying to day, but what happens in the case where the statement captures the lump sum deposit, but the previous balance in the aaccount is even more than what's required to apply for one person (in the case of a dependant visa) will they still raise an eyebrow?

What if the main applicant is now in UK studying and want the dependents to join, will he still shows the full amount in the account?
I will appreciate if this is clarified.
Thank you

Goke7:

Once you indicate that your dependants are coming with you whether now or later you must show proof of funds to cover for everyone. If you go ahead and apply with your POF alone because they are not coming immediately, you will be given visa o but when your dependants will apply later is when jungle will mature. Your dependant will be asked to print your statement from the time you apply to the time your dependant applied. This is the case and question someone just asked if you go some pages back. Once they discovered that your funds as the main applicant have depreciated, the dependant will be denied and the main applicant visa cancelled. It has happened to people on this forum so be warned. Let no agent deceive you. Perhaps some folks escaped this before but the home office guys are not smiling these days as they suspect folks are moving funds from one account to another all in the name of POF.

Please is a 1-year BSc Top-up degree qualified for Post Study Work Permit?

Amazoner01:

The new ‘Graduate’ route will be open to all international students – including those from India – who have valid UK immigration status as a student and have successfully completed a course of study in any subject at undergraduate level or above at an approved UK Higher Education Provider. The visa will allow eligible students to work, or look for work, in any career or position of their choice, for two years after completing their studies.

Please I need your advices and thoughts…

My brother currently works in our Dad’s company.
1. Can we use the company’s account for POF and say the company is sponsoring him?
2. If we are doing this, given regular company transactions, by how much in excess does the company account has to have at each point in time if the POF needed is 14million?
3. What other documents do we need to back this up?
Or how best do we go about this?

@justwise, please help

You do have a chance but to avoid unnecessary stress, apply together with your husband. It doesn't matter whether he goes with you after he is issued visa or not. And moreover, he'd have to come visit you at some point, yeah?
My 7 cents.

He has an existing 5 years UK visa visiting visa already. If he applies for a student dependent visa won't it be cancelled the 5 years visiting visa?

Co asking please

Please, who has travelled to UK recently with kids of 5-13 years, did you do pre departure covid test for them?

My son travelled last week. He did a pre departure test and booked days 2 n 8 tests as well. However, when we got to the airport, they said he didnt need to do the test since he is below 18. This you will also see when you fill out the locator form. You only need a day 2
test upon arrival.
Note that he used Virgin airline.

Please who has Dante lab's contact number?

Lolz. It doesn't really matter.. what really matter is that you are able to hold the sum for the 28 days...even if u don't carry out any transaction provided the money has been in the account for 28 days.

Home office has a way to verify the veracity of the account statements

Some information are wrong. Yes, I understand d fact people wants to help and all that but some information are not just correct. The rule is SIMPLE. Be in possession of the sum for minimum 28 days it doesn't matter if 1kobo didnt enter or leave. Infact I have more than 5 people who printed statement from my bank and didnt perform a single transaction either credit or debit. Infact one of them held d money for 27days not 28 because the loan company he used debited him wrongly on d 27th day instead of 28. The guy got his Visa even with all that. In theory hold ur funds for minimum 28days. If u like do transaction everyday or once a week or once a month or no single transaction u will still get it. Cheers and thanks to all that continuously take their time to help people here.....
P.S.
1 page statement self is enough grin grin

21st Oct, it's safe to print on either 19th or 20th NOV, given your calculation shows it's stayed in your bank consecutively for 28days, print on the 29th or 30th day.

But from 21 October to 18th November is already 29days

Thanks. If I get you right, for example I made a deposit of 15m on my account on 26th of last month and on 27th to 28th, I made some transfers amounting to about 1m and now I have about 14m in my account. Can I calculate from 27th?

The minimum days the money should be in the account is 28 days. Meaning you print from the next day. Simple
