I dont need a magician to tell me u did not make the payment urself.u either used an Agent or someone u probably don't know.bottom line is there was a charge back on the credit card used. if u can ,pay for ur application again using barter by flute wave cos if u dont,a procedural fairness letter is on the way and if u cant answer convincingly, it's a 5 year Visa ban.sorry am being blunt my dear but that's d sad reality.plz pay ur application and biometric fee urself cos hu ever paid b4 must have paid using a credit card and there was a charge back.please act fast b4 the letter comes and u can send a letter of explanation through webform.

u r lucky to find this out before that procedural fairness letter comes cos sometimes when it comes,u may even need a lawyer to help u draft an explanation.

@Gbemisola how far with ur application ?

Wow thank you Jay. I will do as you’ve said. I thought it was a scam because nothing showing in my account and they asked me to send the receipt through an email and I was confused on how I could still do biometrics. Thank you again

Yes I did JR and got my PPR. The whole process including my previous application they rejected took over a year though but I am glad I did it.

LONG POST ALERT!

Hey guys! I got my PPR on the 6th and while I can’t remember my whole time line and all the documents I submitted, I want to tell you my story and hopefully it inspires somebody out there.

I am self employed so I always knew applying as a self sponsored candidate was going to be tricky but I didn’t want to give up on this dream I had. I’ve been following this forum since 2014 when I didn’t even have money to pay for my visa fee talkless of applying for a study permit but I read and kept checking till I could finally afford to in 2017. I put together my first application which was really flimsy and After 3 months I got rejected for mainly financial reasons. I paid my whole tuition but had only N3m left in my account for feeding and accommodation. That was when I learn that as a self sponsored applicant you should have more than you first year living expenses and tuition. While this isn’t a rule, it’s a safe bet.

Anyway business got busy so I decided to use an agent for my next application which was in 2020, mind you I started planning my application in 2019. I got rejected again but this time the reasons didn’t seem to make sense. I submitted my application and paid for my 1st semester tuition and also had N17m in my invested account which was created specifically for my tuition. They said I was going to exhaust my savings and I also didn’t have enough money to take care of my family that will be traveling with me, meanwhile I never said my family would travel with me in my application. My agent thought the response was just really generic and that we should apply for my notes and then do a judicial review if I could afford it.

I thought about my options and decided to go with the judicial review late last year. We got a lawyer and I think I paid about $4000 CAD. The lawyer started the process and in January of this year my agent reached out to me to say they are asking for a settlement and that was what we wanted. They said they would reopen my portal and I should reapply. Meanwhile at this point I had spent a lot of the money I kept aside for school. I managed to raise the money back and reapplied again with the same exact documents but this time I wrote another SOP, explained why I had some lump sums in my account, the lawyer wrote to them and the agent too wrote on my behalf. I submitted my application on the last day of the one month period I had which was April 4th and then the wait began.

I thought I would get a response asap because it was a judicial review but months came and went without a single word from IRCC. My school was resuming in September so I did my upfront medical in august but it was just updated to passed and nothing else. In September I deferred my admission to next year sept since the course I intend to do which is film making only starts in September. After I deferred I went to write IELTs in preparation for my next application because I just felt like my application would be rejected again and I’ll have to reapply so I started putting things in place and also started raising more money in my account for the next one.
Moving forward I stopped asking my agent for updates and just moved on with life. I even forget I put in an application for a Canadian visa and started considering the Uk. The few times I also thought about my application I wanted to tell my agent to withdraw it so I can work on another one for some new schools I just applied to. On the 6th of this month I got a call from my agent in Canada saying my PPR just came through. I didn’t even know how to feel, I’m excited but I’m also overwhelmed.

I know this is a long post but it’s just to inspire somebody out there. I am 32, I’m self employed and self sponsored, I only have my WAEC certificate as I did not attend a university and I have applied 3 times to Canada which has been my dream since 2014. I finally got my PPR and I want you to know that if I could do it, you can do it too. I’ll try to share my documents I submitted soon.

Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Fair enough Jay.. I thought you were advocating for shorter time frames for account statement but your angle is well understood.
God will grant everyone wisdom to get it right...

Jay316:
I agree totally with u and that is y in a previous post I stated clearly that the least acceptable number of month u can send is 4 months which is not too advisable but its wot is on their website. however, 6 month is very ideal but with NSE, IRCC will require a one year history. But NSE has always been optional and NSE also requires IELTS but so many ppl were by passing IELTS with Exemption letter from their University stating that they do not require IELTS cos their medium of instruction was in English so in real sense Nigerians were not even playing by the NSE rules.Indians would do IELTS once they opt for SDS weda they have even had masters taught in English or not but we in Nigeria always look for a way to bypass the rules.I am not IRCC nd so cant say if that's the reason 4 scraping NSE but in the 1st place they were not even giving PPR after 5 or 6 weeks like they promised.i know someone who did NSE and applied October 2020.she got PPR April this year and I know others that were denied after 6 or 7 months with NSE ooo.so u neva can tell.

All I advice is submit at least 6 months MBS .it gives u an edge if ur banking transactions show sufficient funds nd good and busy banking transactions that relate to ur Job or Business .if u can in those 6 months, avoid Lump sum.plan ur POF even b4 u get admission. ur POF should be d 1st thing u plan 4 wen considering Canada ooo.

If you want to pay at lower rate go directly to the airlines office, that’s what I did. You will be given naira quote which is close to government fX rate

It’s 5 months plus now. My dashboard looks pretty the same as it as been. No difference.

Good afternoon, my question is how would one know there is charge back if the dashboard is still going to look normal (like nothing happened)?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Omiinii: 3:41pm On Nov 09, 2021
So basically you'll been delayed for 5 long months because apparently you haven't paid your application fee. At this point if someone is not paying your application fee themselves. It's a dangerous game.
