First, why do we need to confess our sins to God? 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This simply means admitting our errors and not giving excuses or trying to justify ourself. Some people say they never sin since they are already righteousness or God no longer see their sin. This is a dangerous and wrong teaching, Jesus taught his how to pray and in that prayer there was a prayer for forgiveness. If we are on a relationship with God, a family relationship, God gets offended when we sin. When we do confess our sins it means we are in the truth and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from every unrighteousness. When a Christian refuse to confess/admit his or her sin it means he or she is calling God a liar and the truth is not in him or her, the blood of Jesus cannot cleanse such person. The cleansing of the blood is continuous in a Christian's life as long as he or she abides in the truth of Jesus christ. what if a Christian forget to confess his or her sins before death will he or she remain saved? The answer is, as long as a man or a woman continue in the undefiled faith of Jesus christ then he or she will be washed with the blood. Except, I think that person has denied christ by rejecting the Christian faith. But whether that person is a true christian or not is a subject of debate within christianity but we are told and admonished as Christian is to continue in the faith of Jesus christ. 1 Like |

The Bible is very specific on what to do to get eternal life in the kingdom of God. I would like to think that belief and faith in God through Jesus Christ is the basic requirement. |

Salvation is a free gift from God it is forever in you the holy spirit does not leave you once he enters in you Jesus can never leave you or forsake you forever and ever your sins are forgiven forever all sin you will ever do. Holy Spirit reminds you of sin which needs to be confessed and you are always forgiven because God lives in your heart |

Sorry for all the little children who will burn in hell for not remembering to repent after telling a lie. And good luck to people like Hitler who will dance and rejoice in heaven after repenting, even though they killed millions of innocent lives when they were alive. Christianity is insanity. |

kingxsamz: You are the one who has been proven insane because of evil makes people insane, which is what also happened to Hitler. And God is the bestest Judge so you can be sure that it is only guilty children that shall be slammed. |

Dtruthspeaker: COLOSSIANS 2:13 KJ21 And you, being dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, ASV And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; AMP When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (worldliness, manner of life), God made you alive together with Christ, having [freely] forgiven us all our sins, AMPC And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions, BRG And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; CSB And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you alive with him and forgave us all our trespasses. CEB When you were dead because of the things you had done wrong and because your body wasn’t circumcised, God made you alive with Christ and forgave all the things you had done wrong. CJB You were dead because of your sins, that is, because of your “foreskin,” your old nature. But God made you alive along with the Messiah by forgiving you all your sins. CEV You were dead, because you were sinful and were not God’s people. But God let Christ make you alive, when he forgave all our sins. Question kindly explain this scripture to us |
