Did Nigeria Law Stops A Foreigner From Witnessing A Court Siting. by Allsouls: 1:33pm On Nov 10, 2021 |
Today in Abuja Bruce Fern Mazi Nnamdi Kanu & Ipob lawyer in USA was bared from withnessing his clients hearing. He was also denied access to his clients Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, two good times in DSS custody. My question is, did Nigeria Constitution says that no foreigner can withness court hearing of his client in Nigeria court or stops a foreigner not to defend his Nigerian client in Nigeria court? 1 Like |

Can a Nigerian lawyer travel to London to defend someone before a London Court? There is something called jurisdiction and a foreign lawyer has zero jurisdiction in a Nigerian Court unless he was called to the Nigerian bar. That is the same way an ordinary citizen cannot be allowed to defend in you Court. 6 Likes |

To be qualified to"defend" a person in any Court in Nigeria, you must have been called to the Nigerian Bar. After obtaining the requisite qualification from a University recognised by the Council of Legal Education. The Courts are public places and any case that elicits public interest like this Nnamdi Kanu case can be witnessed by any one so long as there would not be any security breached within the confines of that very Court room. The news coming out of there is still hazy. It needs to be clear what transpired at today's sitting. What I have been reading on am are mere emotional outbursts and doesn't particularly add up "for now". Thank you 6 Likes |

His foreign lawyer was just there to observe. He wasn’t there to defend him. Also British Envoy was inside the court last time to observe the proceedings. 3 Likes |

Allsouls:Reread what I wrote but slowing this time. I never made mention of witnessing at any point. Barring anyone from witnessing any court proceedings is at the sole dispersion of the trail judge and/or security operatives which I am either and as such cannot speak on their behalf 1 Like |

horsepower102:Maybe tomorrow you can visit any court in your location and offer your services to defend those in need of it, since any random person can do that right? |

Bruce is a thief. Him and supleme thief are eating donations from gullible people. The one he chop is enough. If the people donating the money are too dull to realize it then FG has to chase such callous fiend from making contacted with new victims to continue the eating. |

So every riff raff lawyer should be allowed access to court? How many people do you think the court can accommodate at a particular time? |

404Dev:But AGF office says that, London is within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court in Abuja? I'm referring to the case between Nigeria and Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi Kanu said things in London, the AGF said London is within the jurisdiction of the ABJ HC |
