12large1: Take it easy. Must we overhype our Players? Haller has 7 Goals, 3 Assists in 12 Matches in the League already. Oops! Eredivisie is a Farmer's League..... but he has scored 7 Goals in 4 Matches in UCL also nau. Osimhen so far only has 5 Goals in the League with no Assist in 10 Games, and 4 Goals in 3 Matches in UEL. Osimhen is doing fine and we should rather pray he's injury free and keep up with his Form. 4 Likes |

NIG vs LIB: Gernot Rohr Needs To Unleash A Deadly Attack By Pairing Odion Ighalo And Osimhen Justinnick The Super Eagles Of Nigeria will be in action in the African World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday as they travel to face Liberia at the Grand Stade de Tanger. The Nigerian National Team have had an amazing run in the World Cup qualifiers winning three of their four matches in the campaign. They will be up against a Liberia side that are currently in the last position on their WCQ Group C Table with just three points from four matches. This clearly shows that Nigeria is the side we all expect to win the match when both sides clash in the World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday. The Super Eagles Team look to be strengthened in the attacking department after Jude Odion Ighalo was called back from retirement to represent his country. The former Man United strike arrived at the Super Eagles camp today in preparation for their next meeting in the world cup qualifiers. Gernot Rohr shouldn't spare Liberia in their upcoming encounter as he should play his best team in the match to secure all three important points. Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen should be paired upfront on the attack as both players are very good at finding the back of the net. Their possible partnership in front of goal could guarantee the Super Eagles more goals in their campaign for 2022 World Cup qualification in Qatar What's your take on this? Kindly drop your comments below. Thanks for reading. 1 Like 1 Share |

drDoom3: Ndidi will make CAF 11, that should be an undisputed Fact. No African DM is better than him at the moment and he's definitely in the top 5 worldwide. BTW.... Kessie plays mostly as a CM not a DM. Besides Ndidi is performing exceptionally in his Position at best League in the World. 1 Like |

Rockyrascal: Except Awoniyi keeps banging Goals week in week out in German League, he ain't gonna make it to either Competitions. Ighalo is recalled coz Rohr has no Trust for Onuachu, Moffi and co. He apparently trusts Osimhen only. AFCON is next Year, he doesn't wanna experiment further with a new Invitee, especially if something happens to his first Choice at the Tournament, who is gonna step in and deliver? This is why he prefers Experience over Talent. 9 Likes |

Icon79: Well said. We will need the spirit of Zidane+a sprinkle of Conte to enter Rohr so he can apply 35% of it vs either of those two of we jam. That's if he'll even use it. We should easily win our last two matches. That CAR loss should be Motivation enough. 1 Like |

zuchyblink: How many new Strikers has Rohr invited? Dessers, Bazee, Moffi, Onuachu, Maja and very recently Awoniyi. He has tried almost all, yet he ain't convinced, hence gets no choice but to recall Ighalo for rest qualifing Matches and AFCON certainly. Rohr doesn't rate Iheanacho either as a Striker. He sees him as a supporting Striker and to some extent a Playmaker. We shouldn't forget Rohr once dropped Iheanacho completely from the Squad till he regains his form at end of last Season. Awoniyi has a shot at the Team, if he keeps up with the Form. He may possibly replace Onuachu if he keeps popping Goals, coz Ighalo is definitely going to Cameroon next Year January. 3 Likes |

zuchyblink:FIFA 22 is a game and shouldn't be used to judge oga elder. If you're a gamer and you have Osimhen on your team you'd realize the rankings has zero influence on the supposed game. Osimhen is like 3 players in his team. He's virtually what is known as 'CHEAT'. 3 Likes |

12large1: True. But it takes more than that. Russia is enough to see how they'll line up come Qatar. Lots has changed but if they don't get it right tactically and with calculators, they'll be booted out once again. I really want them to see R16 this time though. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Philosopher1979: 9:19am On Nov 12, 2021 |
Oasis001: Victor osimhen has actually won some penalties and 3 of them have been converted. Osimhen work rate is a big issue. The problem is that stats don't show penalties won as an assist which is very funny. So it is 5 goals and 3 assists in 10 games if we count penalties won and in football it is important to win penalties 1 Like |

TheLoneCitizen: ...... we are damn funny on this Thread walahi. We do rate our Players beyond Imaginations. We ain't in the 90s and Fans here should try to understand. This is no Era of Okocha, even Ronaldinho won't be able to play for a top Team in this present Epoch. Football is no longer built on individual brilliance, its now rather built on Teamwork. Adama Traore, a fine Dribbler, yet playing for Wolves. Tactically, it'll be difficult at AFCON to rely on individual brilliance to win Matches. Africans are rugged, and Defenders are ready to end your Career for you, if you try to mesmerise around them. 6 Likes |

Oasis001: The bolded is fallacious.. Which era are you talking about? Ronaldinho with all his showboating was very productive as a player, and there's no team or manager in the world that won't want to have him... What you just wrote is indirectly telling us that we have an ekuke coach... Cus obviously, individual brilliance alone can't take us far... 3 Likes |

Dribblers are easily neutralized by tactically sound teams. You don't win Ballon d' Or by the number of dribbles completed. 1 Like |
