Wrong. No fantasy here. My argument is that we should select our BEST players to represent us regardless of where they are born. And on current form, you can’t tell me that the likes of Eberechi Eze, David Alaba, Tomori, Tammy, Olise, Okafor, etc. are not amongst the best players of Naija origin available. The problem is that the NFF doesn’t know how to play the game.

Philosopher1979:

We have Alhassan Yusuf in Royal Antwerp in Belgium and our akinkunmi amoo in Sweden but we are fantasizing about what we don't have. I am not against foreign borns but why not appreciate what we have. The worst thing is that a lot of people here may not support akinkunmi amoo and alhassan Yusuf to be in the nation's cup team but yet fantasize about some foreign born not playing for us.
A bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush. Let us appreciate and use what we have first

Do you know the meaning of clueless?
An adjective that describes Rohr accurately.

The man you call clueless will qualify for the next round later this evening (tomorrow for you). Stay positive brother. Peace.

If he qualifies in a group that consists of CV, Liberia and CAR that isn’t a big feat

My dear, some of those invites are not of Rohr’s making, to be quite honest with you. When it comes to player invitation, his hands are tied. Remember when they (the NFF) vowed that they won’t let him have the final say on player invitations any more? Or just check out how Pinnick, literally, imposed Odion Ighalo on him.

O pari

nelszx:

Rohr still wouldn't have invited them. Has he finished inviting Simon and Shehu?

I have lost all enthusiasm for the eagles now, anything goes. Don't want my hopes dashed

At his prime, Ahmed Musa was a great player but not any more. He’s way past his prime and doesn’t deserve invite on current form.

And you can say the same thing for Shehu. They are just in the team for the “federal character “.

O pari

zoboizee:

One thing we usually forget is that Musa is a good player and so is Shehu. Our current wingers will never get to Musa's past level cum goal scoring abilities till the day they retire from football. Be it Chukwueze, Ejuke, kalu, Onyekuru and/or Simon. Look at how they move, pass, dribble & shoot, then you will know that Musa had perform far better in his national team career.

Meanwhile Egypt too has qualified. So right now Morocco, Senegal, Mali, Egypt have already qualified for the next round.

Potential qualifiers are
SA/Ghana
Nigeria/CPV
CiV/Cameroun
Benin/Congo
Algeria/BF
Tunisia/EQ

The final qualifying matches will be intense.

I bin dey soro, dey yan almost 120pages back that Rohr isn't in charge of selection and we should get used to it and adjust the blames. Yet una still dey believe this man that isn't even at advantage with his own personal contract to pull a Trojan Horse? grin

Ok? He should use what he has is your reply. But many managers would fail if they don't have at least 45% say in their selection. I doubt Rohr has that much.

Better days ahead.

You're the one exhibiting unbridled childishness. It doesnt conform to your opinion, ignore and pass and stop being an ignoramus.

I swear.... I hate what football is becoming. I am a United Fan and really dislike Bruno. Stats-wise he's doing fine for United, but guess what he loses possession anyhow.

He would make countless risky passes, and at least 1 or 2 gonna end as Assist. He barely dribbles despite playing as No. 10 for United. He barely supports the Pivot for transition from defense to attack.

He's either competing with No. 9 for Goal or trying as much as possible passes to get at least an Assist. That's not what I subscribed for in football.

When we were young, everyone wanna be called Jay Jay Okocha, only few wanna be called Rashidi Yekini. In fact number of football lovers that would prefer being called Siasia exceed those that wanna be known as Rashidi.

As I pointed out earlier, football is moving away from Hawthorn Effect to Frederick Winslow Taylor's Theory. Players are now robotic - they follow Instructions strictly. Positioning, Movement, Passing, even shooting Range.

Entertainment part of football is fading away. Guess what? Anytime I feel like getting entertained football-wise, I do make use of YouTube to see Clips of De Lima, Gaucho and Okocha.

E dey sweet my belle.... grin

Wow, didn't know that stat padding was also a common occurence in football. Thought it was only in the NBA we had stat padders

Well, since i don't watch bruno closely, I wil take your word for it but it's quite funny though grin grin

Reminds me of Russel Westbrook of LA Lakers

Some Folks here can't use their heads to think or engage in a Discourse with sense. If you disagree with a particular view, tackle it with sense. Give your reasons.

We are not getting paid by Seùn to post here. We are simply here to catch fun and meet new friends.

Only Sycophants do hide behind others to throw Jabs. It's not funny when you think your contrary view is right. Give a Reason, let Everyone benefits from it. Put aside your Emotion, and let your brain works.

Bro, the best defense against insults is to ignore them completely

I am gradually learning that and it gives me rest of mind

As long as this is a public forum, there will always be people who throw insults rather than discuss maturely

But when you ignore them, their attacks will wane gradually.

Works like clockwork for me grin grin grin grin
