Stop crying under people's mention Iron fan.

We all have a right to our different opinions regardless.

Your tears wouldn't change any opinion. That others aren't looking forward to tomorrow's game doesn't make them any different from you (passion or otherwise).

Onyeka’s game has really improved. Why don’t we try Aribo further forward like he does at Rangers (definitely not as a RW where Gerard usually plays him, maybe as an Iwobi replacement at AM)?

Predicted starting XI according to Sportskeeda

Nigeria Predicted XI (4-3-3): Maduka Okoye (GK); Zaidu Sanusi, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina; Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo; Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen.

This starting XI looks interesting with Arlbo and lwobi occupying the wing positions.

make una calm down. opinions are allowed. opinions does not necessarily mean they will materialise.
I said Nigeria will not win AFCON, it doesn't mean they will not eventually. they could win, but I don't think they would win. If someone says Liberia will beat us, na the person get their mouth. It's not like it can never happen. No one would have thought CAR will beat us at home. But it happened. So let people say whatever, wetin go happen go still happen.

As long as Moses Simon doesn't start the game, I'll watch the game.

It's a good line up

Ola Aina should compete with Sanusi and Collins. He does it better as LB.

Awaziem should start but why not 3-5-2.

Awaziem is not a quality players by any stretch in of the imagination, Zaidu is fast but average .

What happened to Aina , not much talk about him here. Despite getting relegated with Fulham ,he did very well in the EPL.

Our defence is not very good. Ekong has been OK at Watford but not outstanding , Balogun has done above average at Rangers ( but then it's the Scottish League) not very competitive. Omeruah has been " just there" nothing to report that's outstanding. What is Jamui and Shehu doing there

Well said

Infact our entire backline then (except for Keshi) based on where they played their club football could be classed as carpenters using standards on this thread.

Oliseh I think was in some small club like that in belgium. Honestly based on club pedigree alone our 1994 squad shouldn't have been rated.

Like you rightly said Clemens infused them with a mindset of winners.

Mujtahida:

No difference whatsoever. Any nation will most likely say the players of the past are better than their present crop of players. Brazil will say so, France will say so, Netherlands will say so, Spain will say so. It's no excuse for the coach to keep seeing his team as losers. You work with what you have.

Westerhof did not have the best players in Algiers 90 but he got to the final. Later He promised to deliver 94 and he did. It is all about his mentality. And then all those players you mentioned, apart from Amokachi, Finidi, and Yekini the others were not regulars for their clubs as at Westerhof's Era. Jay was usually a sub in Eintrach Frankfurt, Sia was not frequent for Nantes, Oliseh in Belgium was just picking up.

How come Keshi won Afcon 2013 with carpenters and farmers at least compared to this current crop of players? Faith and Belief. Rohr has no belief.

Rohr is just the issue....if Semi Ajayi joined Real Madrid today,Rohr would hand over starting shirt to him but Westerhoff would tell you that Semi is not better than Balogun despite playing for madrid.....Westerhoff knew that Samson Siasia was not that lucky when it comes to club career but far better than Richard Owubokiri and Mike Obiku.

Imagine starting below average Collins who just returned from injury over Aina during Afcon but some will cite Aina performance against Cameroon but would Collins have done better?NO and funny enough the same Collins lost to Sanusi just cos he signed for Porto, till today I don't know difference between Sanusi and Collins.

During Westerhoff days you need to prove yourself that you can do it.I remember Tijani a Europe based could not bench local boy Finidi George...Ikpeba find it difficult to bench Africa based Amuneke.

did keshi not have that faith when he failed to qualify us for Afcon? When westerhof lost to Ghana in 92 where was the belief? Same westerhof almost lost 94 semi but luck and not faith saw us through, same faith couldn’t see Westerhof through against 10 man Italy in 94. As a coach you can brag and make mouth all you want but if you don’t come correct with your tactics you’ll be well beaten

If you assess Aina critically and take away those overlapping he frequently does you will realize he is way underneath Awaziem when it come to game reading and defense duties. Awaziem is being talked down on because he is a Nigerian with limited opportunities , unlike the English boys like Aina , Abraham , Tomori etc

If Rohr likes let him pack 100 players inside the midfield but if they have no creativity nothing will work.

I swear Awaziem is best defender in this present squad. His composure and ball playing abilities is unmatched, I got to know about him during 2019 Afcon. He's far better than Ekong who's always jittery when with the ball. Only Balogun is close to Awaziem in ability.

Awaziem has always been a cb for his club and played Rb most times for the eagles and he is not better than aina which is his natural position

Ebuehi is not better than aina and I don’t need to give you eyeglasses to confirm that ,so what exactly should I be arguing with you ?

No be only facts Na fart

Instead of you to keep on researching why rohr didn’t call Ebuehi you are looking for a way to diss aina ,something you always failed at grin

At least , we can agree that playing for a decent club doesn't immediately confirms you as a good player. These English boys have better opportunities to excel anywhere.
