There's no bride price in Yoruba because it will be publicly returned to you with the father telling you his daughter is not for sale. Whatever you see as bride price, usually like N5k or N10K, will be returned so if the daughter comes back because of your maltreatment, your in-laws are not owing you a dowry to pay back. The daughter is given to you on trust and because their daughter said she loves you and you will take care of her.
