Our army was recently painfully labeled “paper tiger”. It appears all in the books have been tried. Arms, both fake and original have been purchased. Soldiers have been accused of sabotaging themselves in the battle front. Senior military officials both past and present have been accused of looting funds designated to purchase arms. In all, boko haram and iswap control lake chad and swaths of lands in the north. Bandits (as we are made to call them) control villages in Sokoto and Zamfara and presently have their own village heads, collecting taxes and tributes.

At the same time, the military have diverted their attention to an imaginary enemy in the south east and south west. Is it not time to admit that our military is completely overwhelmed and in desperate need of foreign help? Are we going to wait until a Libya or Mali is made out of the north of Nigeria? GEJ brought mercenaries in spite of the then looting of resources to deal with this matter. Is it not time to seek help from other countries who can help us out?

Everyday these wicked people in the name of religion kill and maim innocent people in the north and enslave them. People cannot go to their farms anymore and more poverty stares the people in the face. This war in the north appears endless and iswap appears to finally want to carve out their perfect nation from northern Nigeria after their failure in Iraq and Syria.

We need to wake up to the realities on ground before the entire nation gets engulfed in this religious, economic and territorial battle.

if you know how a garrison that contains an army general is heavily fortified then you'll know that this is not a small assault.
