CPV has turned on the heat o. I think Iwobi too is tired. Good sub with Onuachu to help with his height I believe.
Which height? What we needed was a fast upfront to unsettle the CPV defense, which will produce scoring scoring chances to seal the match. ( their defenders are more tired and more focused on their team scoring.

It's not about whether we win or lose. I'm about something that the goodjoe emphasizes often: quality of play.
Our play is just too poor, agonizingly drab and threadbare.

Let me ask you a little question?

Who are going to meet at the playoffs?

Germany, Spain and France ahbi?

Let's put things into perspective.

Algeria ranked 4th just drew 2-2 with Burkina Faso ranked 11th

Nigeria ranked 5th drew 1-1 with Cape Verde ranked 14th

Tunisia ranked 2nd will play Zambia ranked 18th, I will quote you after the game, let's see what the difference will be in scoreline.

Morocco ranked 3rd will play Guniea ranked 15th. Let's see what the scoreline will be as well.

Senegal ranked Ist beat Congo ranked 20th with just 2 nil after drawing with Togo ranked 39th

Egypt ranked 6th beat Gabon ranked 19th just 2-1.

Should we say that all those Coaches are clueless?

Now what exactly makes it sure that Nigeria can never get through the playoffs as you said?

Congrats to Osimhen for reaching double digits in International goals. Good news is we are through to the next round of qualifying. Bad news is our coach is Gernot Rohr. Anyway one is certain If He's still our coach come March it would mean we won the AFCON so cheer up guys we would have a new manager by spring tongue

LOL

At this point, na only terminal illness fit make Rohr no coach us again.

Looking at the positives
Okoye: not too convincing, but wasn't troubled all dat much.. 6/10

Collins: Had a wonderful game today. Pulled some lovely crosses that could have lead to goal! 7.5/10

Balogun: strong defensive display, i would rate him 7/10.

Ekong: After his blunder, and some shaky start, he made some nice through long balls from d defense line and some few defensive duties.. I wil rate him 6/10

Chidozie Awe: Ever Rugged, very reliable in his defensive duties. Bullied some of the opposition attackers. 7/10

Ndidi: A little bit quiet during the first half, made some back passes. Then sprung into life the second half, and drove the balls forward, and made lovely passes to his wing players. 7.5/10

Aribo: Aside his shot on target and some fine interplay between him and Iwobi, he was mainly quiet. Ran out of steam at 65mins mark, but had a decent game. 7.5/10

Iwobi: Today was his best since a long time. He was everywhere. Made some crazy passes. Remains the most creative outlet in the team. Made few interceptions, and was solid all round. 8/10

Igalo: Aside his obvious chances missed! He did created a goal scoring opportunity for Aribo, then he had decent game. Just that he is very slow and didn't pose much threat! 6/10

Osimhen: Deservingly man of the match! 5 star performance from the young man. He won almost all his aerial balls, was a thorn in d flesh in the opposition half! Made few big chances. He had 2 great chances that was saved by the goal keeper and one clear chance been intercepted by the opposition defender that could have lead to goal! 10/10

Moses Simeon: Made some fine movement, and one beautiful turn before making a pass. But his down side remains his crosses that will never get to there destination. But he was solid defensively! I will give him 7/10

Nacho: Could have done better after taking down his man, but he wanted to do too much, and lost the ball in the process. I will give him 5/10 in his camo appearance!

Onuchu!
Onyeka!
Shehu: After replacing Simeon, he made some really good runs, and he wasn't afraid to attack, then went into silence afterwards! Could be d instructions from the coach or Shehu being SHEHU! LOLZZZZ

GEJ being President and Oil have little to do with this scenario.

GMB no too send sports in Nigeria, y'all make it look like he cares that much and he doesn't, not enough to intervene in anything.

They simply will not hire Amuneke because he will do good, act however he pleases, gain favour from Nigerians, and then they will have to fire him because he no dey play ball.

GMB or no GMB.

Oil determines the amount of money Nigeria makes so that it can operate annually..

GEJ was more approachable and will obviously give more free hand to the coach...

when GMB watches a match the first thing he will notice is the ethnicity of the players... its not about "sending sports" its about the representation in the team..

Let Amuneke get the job first, don't just assume he will do good...

The only good team Algeria played is Burkina Faso and they struggled badly! Algeria's team lacks depth. This is a fact! The SE has the ammunition but a very stupid coach. What is the purpose of playing Iheanacho when we need someone that can put pressure on the defense through dribbling? Iheanacho is a bad footballer and Rodgers knows!

Okay bro calm down

How many good team did the eagles play ?

And yes we have a good team and a very stupid coach

Iheanacho is not a bad footballer and Rodgers knows nothing ,he was Rodgers best player last season so how is he a bad footballer ? Don’t use today game or anger to call nacho a bad footballer

How did Iheanacho perform better than Ighalo with few minutes he played?! We lost the bite completely when Iheanacho came in. He has no pace to beat opposition defender(s). He barely beat a man or created a chance, yet he did well than Ighalo?

By the way, why bashing Collin?! Until he died on the Pitch before he's appreciated?! Collins was amongst top Performers to be honest. Instead of you Guys blaming the Players, there is one Person to blame for all these Nonsense..... not even Rohr to be blamed but Pinnick.

I hope his Tenure is ending soon.

A team that still having Simeon,Collins and Ekong as a starter is not a team.

I wish eagle well in the play off.
Keep quiet. you think say na by name?

Cape Verde is ranked 14th, above Guniea, Zambia, Gabon, Congo, Mozambique, Namibia. Only two countries separate them with Burkina Faso.

I just hope at some point, Amuneke takes pity on 200 million Nigerians that are being punished with drab football, and offers his services.

Whatever he unleashed with Osimhen and Chukwueze during the U-17 World Cup, I need him to come back and work that magic on these new players.

What is Enyeama currently doing? Please, he should forgive and forget and offer his service in the goalkeeping department as a coach.

We will organise GoFundMe to pay these good men their wages, but they should please, have pity on us as a nation

Difference is in quality of play. Forget Burkina Faso drew Algeria, Algeria's goals were pure class and Burkina Faso were relentless.

We are playing poorly, to put it mildly. Invitations are wrong, starting lineup is wrong, subs are wrong and made at the wrong times. For, example, I saw an Italian on Twitter today fantasizing about an Osimhen/ Okereke combination in attack, and I just laughed. The irony is that even Okereke is better than some of our invited players e.g Musa and co. Other countries are looking at our talent and seeing our potential, but our coach doesn't even know who his best players are. How do you want to compete with smaller teams maximizing every talent at their disposal then?

One day Una go realise say una no get good team. Everytime Una go de blame coach.

Lol I'm kidding but someone, a south African said something on Facebook that I believe is completely true.
Nigeria is changing , very slowly, from playing the way the used to( the African way with physicality and a bit of technicality) and transforming into a European nation style of play and the conditions in Africa are not helping us transform any faster. believe it or not. Cape Verde would have beaten Germany in that pitch on those kind of conditions today.

the best option to be subbed in for ighalo would hv been chukwueze

His pace and dribbling would hv pegged back the oppositions defenders and I believe he would hv wrecked havoc by creating a goal or scoring one
