the best option to be subbed in for ighalo was chukwueze

His pace and dribbling would hv pegged back the oppositions defenders and I believe he would hv wrecked havoc by creating a goal or scoring one

You're absolutely correct. Chuks should have come in for Ighalo.

Enough of this your tribal talks.
Go and continue it in the political section
Kindly go to

I don't comment in the politics section....

Nigeria is a multi ethnic country and anyone who considers my comments as "tribal talks" is a disaster waiting to happen especially if that person gets to a position where they have to manage people from different ethnicities...

Let me ask you a little question?

Who are going to meet at the playoffs?

Germany, Spain and France ahbi?

Let's put things into perspective.

Algeria ranked 4th just drew 2-2 with Burkina Faso ranked 11th

Nigeria ranked 5th drew 1-1 with Cape Verde ranked 14th

Tunisia ranked 2nd will play Zambia ranked 18th, I will quote you after the game, let's see what the difference will be in scoreline.

Morocco ranked 3rd will play Guniea ranked 15th. Let's see what the scoreline will be as well.

Senegal ranked Ist beat Congo ranked 20th with just 2 nil after drawing with Togo ranked 39th

Egypt ranked 6th beat Gabon ranked 19th just 2-1.

Should we say that all those Coaches are clueless?

Now what exactly makes it sure that Nigeria can never get through the playoffs as you said?

Leave those Egyptians and co to tell of their coaches are clueless or not and stop comparing the situation ,and have you watch their games to tell how their teams use to play ?

So rhor should remain as the super eagles coach for how long since he is not clueless and doing a good job ?

I haven't seen any super eagles team so insipid as this rohr's team.

We just like to blame Players for no reason at times. Aribo played well in first half, yet someone still complained!
If truly out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, a lot of them must be pathetic and a nuisance to their loved ones

As long as Mr rorh is our coach we will always need the book of Lamentations and for every service (chapter and verses will be quoted) and new onces will be looked into just to complement how clueless that German (clown) will continue to be grin grin grin

oga that goal wasn’t his fault but ekong’s

U Dey watch the match at all abi u Dey post for the sake of posting?

I disagree, Maduka was literally falling into the post, did not even attempt to make I save, I agree that the initial error is from Ekong but now that the ball has gotten to him what is his reaction to it. Abi u think we put goalkeeper for post just for show?

Rohr is wicked. That's all I can say. See when he's bringing Onuachu. Osimhen got tired around the 70 minutes but Rohr left him

A tired Osimhen is better than Onauchu, Osimhen ran himself to the ground due to Ighalos laziness, that guy is not needed anymore, he is too heavy, can barely move...if coach wan say experience, let him be playing in a top league where he would be sharp.

Onauchu is one hell of a slow motion player...he can't really fit the patterns we are playing...you need to hussle has a forward based on the way Rohr plays..

My takeaway based on the matches I watched:

All the African teams will struggle to score against us from open play.

Getting the attack right is our only headache to conquering Africa.

My observations and suggestions:

In the first half, we created some good chances because of Ighalo and Oshimen's movement. Had it been we are clinical the game would have been put to bed in that half.

Getting our substitutions right in attack will be the game changer for us!

Onachu and Iheanacho combinations cannot produce anything good.
Both lack work ethic and cannot beat a man.

I will suggest the invitation of Dennis and Okereke for these 2.

It is not easy playing African teams and if Cape Verde is a small team that won't be put in pot 2.

We have the squad, playing together and understanding one another is the key and AFCON will give us that opportunity.

Thank you, SE, and Congrat Nigeria!

We move!

Not OUR wastefulness, please be specific. Ighalo's wastefulness.
Even a worse miss than Awoniyi (at least the keeper saved his) that Zuchyblink labeled him rookie and inexperienced.

Ighalo dey light matches inside box. I no just understand.....Please let him go back into retirement let's call on our best legs. They will get that experience when they are played.

Had my heart in my mouth whenever the islanders have a corner kick or a free kick.

Ekong should sit out games now very very error prone. The commentator summarized Moses Simon game ...... wasteful with the cross or poor cross.

Rohr no be coach abeg. He has set up this team with no style, pattern or play. We just dey play boko haram football.

The team played Rohrbish

I think that we can all come to the conclusion that Igahlo’s services are no longer needed. Let him enjoy his retirement money in Saudi Arabia. He has served us well, but we must move on

no keeper go save that it was close range
But still make an attempt to save, the last one before this, he was caught clinging to the post, he's always slow to react. Not all shots give you time to prepare.

Oil determines the amount of money Nigeria makes so that it can operate annually..

GEJ was more approachable and will obviously give more free hand to the coach...

when GMB watches a match the first thing he will notice is the ethnicity of the players... its not about "sending sports" its about the representation in the team..

Let Amuneke get the job first, don't just assume he will do good...

Amuneke cannot do worse than Rohr, even if they give him 11 Ahmed Musa's, so, allow me to assume that

Plus oil minus oil, NFF has a history of not paying coaches, so, oil boom has little to nothing to do with our unfortunate position now, there are better coaches out there than Rohr that will not charge more than NFF can afford, the problem is not the funds, the problem is whether NFF will pay it or just steal it.

You cannot convince me that the price of oil is the reason we are stuck with a Rohr.

Difference is in quality of play. Forget Burkina Faso drew Algeria, Algeria's goals were pure class and Burkina Faso were relentless.

We are playing poorly, to put it mildly. Invitations are wrong, starting lineup is wrong, subs are wrong and made at the wrong times. For, example, I saw an Italian on Twitter today fantasizing about an Osimhen/ Okereke combination in attack, and I just laughed. The irony is that even Okereke is better than some of our invited players e.g Musa and co. Other countries are looking at our talent and seeing our potential, but our coach doesn't even know who his best players are. How do you want to compete with smaller teams maximizing every talent at their disposal then?
I take time to watch other African teams as well. I left the Nigerian game to watch Algeria for 10 mins. The attack was worse than Nigeria during that duration. Burkina Faso's attack was even better honestly. I've watched African teams to a good extent. The first five teams are largely equal in terms of playing quality. No difference. I watch the qualifiers and wonder what makes you people fear them so much. In fact we create more opportunities than some of them

As for Okereke. I'll just say that the univited is always better than the invited grin
