You saw a different game obviously. We played the game in our own half. The back 3 were passing to themselves most of the time. Once the ball goes into their half its either intercepted or awkwardly passed and they shoot into our half hoping Ekong makes mistake.

If he doesn't, the back 3 continue passing and fiam long ball again into attack from Nigeria......Rinse and repeat like that.

Key Observations from the second round of Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Osimhen was by far the player of this round of qualifiers for the SE. Always committed, ever reliable the opposition never had a moments rest with him around. Once again he was our top scorer during the second qualify round even though he didn't quite bring all of his shooting boots which should be a scary thought for any of our potential opponents. Not sure if any statistician has could help to confirm but I reckon he should be one of the fastest SE players to reach 10 goals in the fewest caps. The guy has been our talisman for the past 2 years involved in 16 of the 25 goals we have scored in competitive games since the AFCON. Hope we don't get too over reliant on him because for now like subzero said it's pass to Osimhen and inshallah is what the team is operating on.

Awaziem has grown in leaps and bound fast maturing into a very reliable defender. In my opinion he was our best CB during this round. I never felt worried seeing his name in the starting lineup. I predict he will break the oyinbo wall partnership very soon if he hasn't already.

Ejuke is the revelation of the round for me. Was one of our better wingers in this stage of the qualifiers. Needs to add assists and goals to his skillset. Not quite ready to be a starter but not far off.

Collins solid performances at LB but still think Zaidu or Aina would provide better attacking options. Plus the level of wingers Jamilu faced are inferior to what we will likely see in the playoffs.

Maduka did his bit but what Uzoho showed in the one match he kept in goal has convinced me that Francis should regain that number one spot. We need battle hardened warriors going into the next round no room for mistakes or uncertainties regarding our goalkeeper.

Moses Simon really disappointed me from an attacking perspective. Didn't justify his constant starts in my opinion. Some people might mention his defensive attributes but I don't think he was put on the field to defend but rather positively influence play in the final third.

Iheanacho glimpses here and there. Looks like someone who can share the goal scoring burden but needs to be consistent.

Aribo still not quite there yet but is improving.

The rest of the team need to increase their sharpness.

Oga John I always like our ego,Egypt with Mo Sallah no go dey easy o cos our team of recently look too shaking,playing Cameroon would be difficult and Ghana whether we like it or not,old rivalry will come in...Mali and DR Congo cool for me but any slide against these two we paid for it.

How can they be worse than Nigeria when they topped their group with 2 games to spare. I.e (Egypt) for me, losing to CAR is one of the lowest point in Nigeria football history and any African unseeded team that watched that game will want to face us. Can you imagine losing to CAR in your house and talking arrogant

Even though Rohr na craze man, but he's managing us in a period of transition from one generation of players to a new one.

Look at the team that qualified for 2018 world cup and look at the team now. You will see a lot of changes especially in midfield and Attack.

Then you will understand that any other coach could have easily fall into crisis of not qualifying for tourneys because they couldn't get the new set of guys to gel together faster.

I give it to him because he's still able to maintain his standard of qualifying for tourneys.

But man should work on his tactics and find a way to make these guys work together instead of looking for Ighalo.

The problem he's having now is he's not yet found the wining formula or formation to effectively use our midfield and attacking talents. He's still chopping and changing formation. From 4 2 3 1 at AFCON to 4 4 2 and 3 5 2 now. Hopefully he finds the right formula fast.

Oga Chris well done...no be today we don de watch eagles.We have the talents but I will not deceive you I wasn't impressed with the players total output.

In Maduka Okoye I just saw a very average young keeper who I believe soon if things work right for him,he may be a class but presently am not convinced about his ability....still surprised how Uzoho lost out to Okoye without any significant performance.

I never rate Awaziem since South Africa match in Uyo but he has proved to me that a player can come good.The guy is solid and more assured now...hope to see him more especially pairing Balogun or do it in 3-5-2 with Akpoguma and Balogun.It's unfortunately that he started with Porto.

Aribo,well I don't have much to say but he hasn't done much apart from Brazil match which I am still using to rate him highly but now am not really impressed with his overall display,look shaking and he need to exercise his authority in every game.

Simon Moses,I don't see any reason why he always making starting line up,nothing to say on him.

Collins,never rate him and till today am still on my point just like Sanusi cos I realized that as a left footer the two are not close to what we have had before,like Babayaro,Taye Taiwo,Ifeanyi Udeze,Elderson Echiejele and funny enough Juwon Oshaniwa of 2013 WC....I believe Ola Aina is better than the duo.....another big question why is Ebuehi left out and Shehu Abdullahi keep on getting invitations.The solution to our full backs is Ebuehi and Aina for now but Rohr doesn't rate them.

Iheanacho is hot and off and that consistency is a big question mark on his game...in form Nacho is unplayable but not really impressed with his total out put.

Ejuke I saw has it all but Rohr rate Simon highly and I keep on wondering what is happening...player just have to start from somewhere and Ejuke just need Rohr faith in him to explode.

Sir,how on earth would Ekong be a starter in presents eagles with his lack of confidence.It is just a pity that Rohr believe Ekong is the best CB he have,very eyesore watching Ekong....Ranieri was right about him.He lacks it as a CB....see how experienced Ekong failed Maduka against Cape Verde.

Iwobi lack of identity just the issue but something tells me Iwobi is not the answer but what can we do with no alternative,maybe if Rohr has the gut in giving player like Nwobodo,Kelechi Nwakili,Amoo the needed opportunities just like he gave Maduka Okoye a chance,possibly we see best of Iwobi but for now Iwobi is very inconsistent...with what I saw in our last three matches Etebo is still relevant.

Rohr,nothing to say on a $2m inserted sack clause coach,walahi nothing to say again...I just hope we scale through irrespective of the opposition we face in the playoffs.
