Hoping is CAF thinking strategically so that only country that can pull good weight in Qatar qualify. These teams on current form and resources are the best:

1. Senegal
2. Algeria
3. Nigeria and

At a glance that’s what u will assume but a critical look from other dimensions you would see it was spot on… of course the player exaggerated as all footballers do but doesn’t negate what the southie did.

They both came second in their respective group stage so they'll have to go for playoff.
All their group leaders qualified automatically whereas Nigeria & others that topped their respevtive group will still go for playoff.

We must not do it like the Europeans, both Asia and South America have different world cup qualification methods and it's not bad because every continent is doing what fits them .

Africa have just five slots and there are only 4 teams per group, so only the group winners are eligible for play off.

The only team this "POOR" Nigeria side can face there is Dr Congo and i doubt fate will give us that draw.
