Some places are millions if light years away from us.

Meaning the waves emitting from such distance are past waves of millions years ago.

So if for example a star 1 million light years away exploded 1 million years ago. Today 2021, the light waves would be reaching us here on earth and we would be viewing events of 1 million years ago as if it were happening today.
And maybe in another half a millennium, the sound waves would eventually reach us and we would hear the explosion as if it were just happening.


Now with this, everything that has happened on earth, our waves is still travelling far into space...if it is possible to trap every single wave in a distance of like 1 million light years away, it would be possible to see everything that happened on earth 1 million years ago.

If it is possible to capture every single wave from earth 4 billion years ago, we could actually watch how earth was born, from the period of the first sons of God, down to all civilisations down to our own very time...
