Still on Adepoju Tobi
First meeting was held yesterday night between the NFF Executive Members, Technical Committee & Technical Department.

Opinions divided.

Some suggested Gernot Rohr sack before the AFCON.

The meeting considered the implication of the decision to sack him, hence divided opinions.

According to the clause in his contract he hasn't defaulted, playing 'Good Football' isn't part of the clause

Clause in his new contract

- Win the AFCON or get to the final.

- Secure the World Cup ticket in March.

To sack Rohr, NFF will have to pay him off in millions.

The meeting agreed they don't have the money to pay him off including paying some of his outstanding salaries (Which is about four months).

However, NFF are considering options apart from sacking.

The free-hand Rohr has gotten might be cut off.

Questioning, query & venting of his list might be introduced.

Rohr has worked in Nigeria since 2016 having 100% control of his team without any interference.

The discussion will continue with the Executives, looking at the best options considering their financial challenges.

Rohr has to work with the Technical Committee/Department, take suggestions & more.

Listen to advice on how to improve the team.

The NFF won't go back to the old days of forcing ideas on the coach, but they want a system that will checkmate & ensure the performance improves.

According to my source, if they can meet up with the financial implication to pay him off and get a better replacement in the next few days, his contract will be terminated.

Who will replace Rohr?

NFF doesn't have options right now, domestic coaches are not in the conversation.

So, all this while, Rohr was having 100% control of the team?? I thought some people here said, NFF were forcing people on his neck. So there was no quota players after all?? What about Sokoto connection?? Damn. Rohr is totally CLUELESS

Rohr wants us to give Ighalo time to adapt but he didn’t give Dennis, Moffi, Awoniyi or Dessers time to adapt.

Nwakaeme also .

Can't the NFF send him on a refresher course or to understudy pep guardiola briefly prior the world cup.... he should be made to understudy the Spanish tactician so as to up his game

The nff technical committee need to start putting pressure on him and questioning his style of play by so doing he will understand that it is not business as usual

Send him on refresher course?? Why?? He is not even a local coach. How can we employ someone and be Sponsoring him?? It's best that we sack Rohr. Problem is we don't have funds.

Which kind of unfaithful boyfriend are you? The tears have barely dried from the eyes of your Ivorian bae you don jump go Mali.

Mali from time Imo river have always had good players and put up great performances here and there. It is when push comes to shove that the men will be separated from the boys. That's why a less talented Cameroon team dispatched CIV no be just by talent alone but pedigree matters alot.

ChrisKels:

Incredible: Mali won group E without conceding a single goal.

-6-Matches
-5-wins
-0-Loss
-1-Draw
-11-Goals scored
-0-Goal conceded

But but but Nigeria will defeat Mali after suffering defeats at home in the hands of CAR and playing boring draws against Cape Verde. Well, I hope with meet Mali grin

My 2021 AFCON STARTING XI.
Cyriel Dessers plays as SS.

Uzoho, Osigwe as other goalkeepers. Balogun, Ajayi, Ekong as CBs on the bench. Aina, Ebuehi as sidebacks on the bench. Onyedika on the bench too. Aribo, Ejaria, Iwobi, Amoo on the bench. Chukwueze, Dennis, Awoniyi, Iheanacho and Sadiq on the bench.
Note: A total of 28 players cos AFCON 2021 requires 28 man squad.

On whose cost? Lol na so you go take run your company when you finally become this CEO you have strived to be for over 25years now? So you go employ incompetent workers ahead of competent ones, then you will use your company money to train them?

Humility, you na my guy, but with all due respect bro, this is a very stewpid suggestion to make. Rohr should go sort himself out else, we no dey run charity organisation down here.

At least anything that would make them sack rohr is welcome by me.

Either we loose the play offs or we exit the afcon at the quarter final stage

I want us to qualify for the world cup but, I hope the man gets his sack letters whatever be the case at the AFCON

Philosopher1979:
HOW TO SACK ROHR

We can give rohr a new role in the team.
We will give him the role of technical adviser, scout and general manager.
That is he will just give his own opinion on how the team should play,
manage the players and keep them from a mutiny and scout players for us.
The coaching, training and tactics will be managed by Salisu Yusuf.
Salisu Yusuf will be the real coach
while Rohr will have his role.
He will still collect his salary but he will not coach the team except to ask for advice.
That way Rohr will not really be the coach.
He will also ask as the spokesman for the team
But Salisu Yusuf will coach the team and select players.
They should just give him a new role and appoint a coach for him

Is it that corruption is acceptable and therefore should continue.

Salisu had been caught RED HANDED with hands stained with corruption. However, we can assume without prejudice that with the NFF it's not a question of who is corrupt but WHO IS NOT.

Salisu should have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the NFF he had been indicted and is DISQUALIFIED. if indeed we want our football to progress.

Football is not all about winning games or playing for a result.

If you play good football, the results will come undoubtedly. Seek ye first good football, and all other things shall be added unto you.

You can only go so far playing for results, one day you will get unlucky or you will meet a good team that plays good football and they will flog you mercilessly. That is the problem we have with Rohr. His team lacks vibes, lacks energy. Our players don't play like this is international football, we play like it is club football where win or lose, you still get paid. Only Osimhen, Awaziem, Balogun (sometimes), and maybe Iwobi (based on his poor club form in contrast to his stellar country form) play like they are really representing their country. The rest put in half-hearted performances as if fearing injury. There is no competitiveness in the team, everyone knows who will start and so no one is really willing to fight for a place.

Your last statement is actually worrisome... How can players like Aina be inspired to put in better performance when they know that Moses Simon will still start ahead of them?? Ekong is already too comfortable in the team despite his persistent errors because he knows his spot is guaranteed ...

It's not easy to bench your captain. Ask England about Maguire and Kane.

Hmmm If this is true then I'm kind off conflicted. Not that Rohr hasn't had it coming his tactical nous has been very poor just not sure if it would automatically lead to improved team performance that this decision has necessitated. Whatever the final decision always backing the team 100%
