TheGoodJoe:
As a coach in Tanzania, I call a press conference and defend each player I want to invite before bringing it out the list officially to the public. It is good for a coach to defend his team list for transparency sake...Emmanuel Amunike

This is another I find interesting.

Selection of players should meet criteria as earlier discussed. This is where having a sound system on ground comes to play and developing the team towards fitting into the system.

When a coach goes out screening and finally comes up with the list, it is proper he proves he made his selection on merit.

Making a breakdown why players made the list and why some where dropped will prove transparency.

Another important factor it will do is spurring players who missed the cut to work towards improving.

This will with time boost competition too. It also puts the coach out there for open criticism than making his selection shrouded in secrecy. The media can also interact with the coach on a level to put out the pains of the general public.

This keeps the coach in connection with the fans, media, and football stakeholders.

Although this can lead to massive criticism but at least the coach shows he made his choices for genuine reasons.

I love this but it’s easy said than done

Rohr ain't gonna resign. Everyone should fasten their seat belt, coz Rohr gonna drive us through AFCON tunnel, to the promised land or his last Destination.

Be careful oh grin

I'm tired of the rumors like you too. If he's sacked, then NFF should make it clear. However, he has not failed on his contract. Sacking him is just borne out of fear that he will not do well. It isn't fair as well so you no allow am win wetin you give am to win.

You have a valid point, true. We shouldn't wish our team ill luck. The performances just leave much to be desired and most fans believe the coach isn't bringing out the best out of the team.

NFF Communication Director, Ademola Olajire; "I’m not aware of Rohr’s sack because there are procedure for doing things at the federation. Before such decision could be taken, there will be a meeting of the NFF board and a release issued to the public. As for now, I’m not aware of the sack. The online platform you claimed reported the story cannot announce his sack without confirmation from the NFF."

My guy ideas always sound greater on paper but when you are the one to implement it that's when you will become a philosopher.

Managing player egos or controlling stubborn footballers who won't carry out your instructions to the letter can be tasking.

So you might have all the most innovative ground breaking ideas but if you don't have good emotional intelligence to manage different people with different characteristics you will struggle no matter how brilliant you are

A brilliant plan will always trump a dull one. Which is better, having a brilliant plan and battling with egos. Or having a dumb plan to pat the shoulders of egos.

Fashi say I dey knock you on OGN news, ANS is a very useless site always looking for fights where there is none. They were the same people that wrote a fake article to kill the career of SiMoses, going as low as saying that the guy has an infectious disease that could put other national team players in danger. That ANS site is run by an imbec!le

All of this points to one thing, the NFF doesn't want to work with Rohr again. And when this happens, it's better to put an end because if they decide to force it and continue, it'll end up badly for both sides and na Nigeria football go suffer for am

Rohr should please take Ighalo, Musa, Jamil and Shehu with him, while leaving. The new coach shall usher in the majestic foot of Sadiq Umar, restore Uzoho between the sticks, put Ekong and Balogun in the Bench for more athletic Akpoguma and Awaziem

I pity Rohr.

He lost it after we lost to South Africa in Uyo. Since that time the team has never been the same. He shivered into his shells and began playing safe football.

Which kind of bad terrible coach has a Chukwueze and Ejuke on the Bench and plays defensive football with porous Simon idiot Moses ??

Pray the sack is true. We deserve better than Rohr.
