Glad people are waking up to the fact that Rohr is no longer the right man for the position. A quite number of monikers here knew this long time ago(3-4yrs) and have being calling for the head of the coach. Many were blinded by the results and the fact that he was easily qualifying the team for tournaments. Those who were for good football were tagged as 'enemy'. Today this group are vindicated. Rohr's mission was to get us out of the mess we found ourselves(synonymous to what biblical Moses did) which he has achieved. But, He is not the one to lead us into the promised land. We will only keep going round in cycles as long as he is at the helms. We either keep Rohr and lingered further in the wilderness of lacklusterness and be satisfied with qualifications or path way with him and get someone to lead us to the promise land. The choice is the federation to make. 8 Likes |

I do not care about how corrupt or biased Amuneke is, as long as he is effective in his role and everyone that plays on that pitch plays delightfully and we win games like we saw in the U-17 World Cup. That is how some people accused Keshi of corruption and he was vilified for leading a Mafia while he was a player, yet, he remains one of our best coaches, if not the best coach we have had in this 21st century. Every coach has their bias, it is normal, irrespective of who they are. We just need their bias to be favourable to the team. Look at Rohr punishing us with Ighalo, Shehu and Musa, no be bias be that? Does it help the team though? Useless bias. 13 Likes 4 Shares |

chrisooblog: I will like to start with Gary Neville. He definitely has the tactical brain but his problem was heart. Diego Simeone did well with Estudiantes but flopped woefully with River Plate. Getting the Barcelona of Argentina relegated. The problem with Neville is that he just could not handle the failure that comes before winning. Not all coaches start well. Some coaches have ups and downs. Simeone brushed off the failure of River Plate and today he is highly respected. To Oliseh, he was frustrated out of the team. I believe he would have done well,if not the problems that came from NFF, not him. When the NFF employs a white coach, they support him. When they employ a black coach, they frustrate him. Either way, I will take a sound tactician ahead of a dull one anyday. 2 Likes |

Xavi at Barcelona update. Saw this video and would like to do a brief insight on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7x1vaY_qT8 Xavi will drill these players until brilliant passing and fluid play becomes second nature. I think the positioning of Ruqui Puig shows Xavi finds him valuable. He is a young man who gives signs of a brilliant mind. The coming weeks might reveal a special player in Ruqui. Time will tell. 3 Likes |

At the end of the day I think Rohr and NFF will part ways by mutual consent. As a self respecting man Gernot can't honestly believe he will continue to work with people who clearly don't want you around anymore. The fans don't want him plus the players as much as they respect him I don't think they will have sleepless nights when the inevitable happens. 1 Like |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7x1vaY_qT8 Wow. Been studying the clip and trying to understand the objective of the practice. What I can tell is that Xavi is teaching them how to break a strong defensive wall. Xavi always highlighted that it is not just about passing the ball but having an objective. So he kept the guys in the middle compact and tight. The final pass broke through the mobile wall. Impressive. 2 Likes |
