Update from ircc today . Regarding vaccination.. So if you're not vaccinated..you have to ask the school you're attending if they have a quarantine plan for new and returning students. Sweetness24:

BE ENCOURAGED! Wonderful people. It has really been a while since I last commented on this forum. Life in Canada is really beautiful but we can be very busy too. I just want to encourage everyone to keep pushing until you achieve this dream. Yes you can! For me it has been a fulfilling experience moving here with my family the past three years. This forum has almost all the information you need. Just be determined to read, get the right information, keep up the hope, keep pushing legitimately and legally, no shady deals. Believe you can and you will. It may take some time but never be discouraged or downcast, you will never be disappointed. Anytime you feel like giving up, think about the beautiful life that is awaiting you in Canada and encourage yourself, that you will make it and get there. Others have done it, you too will! Be open to people's opinions, even if you have to disagree do it respectfully. You can always reach out to me and others for information. I will try my best to respond. Wishing you all the best. See you soon in Canada, the land of endless possibilities! 26 Likes |

Hello Tinakem, as at when I transited in Ethiopia, it was very active and safe. I don't think there's nothing to be worried about as you will not even leave the airport. Besides, the war is mainly in the Tigray region and not Addis Ababa. So you should be safe. Tinakem: 3 Likes |

Good morning Nairaland Family. I have come to give back to the source that gave me hope on this journey since January 2021. Its PPR GUYS!!!! *Long post Alert I dedicate this testimony to God Almighty, the one who got times and season in his hands. Though it was a long wait, but it happened when it was meant to be. October 2020, I decided to explore the study route after several attempt at EE and PNP with no success. Without robust knowledge and desperation, I had opted for a PGC instead of Masters (No Career Progression) at my first attempt cause i already had a masters which was declared. First application (Self Sponsored) Applied === January 31st 2021 School === Niagara College Ontario Course === Intl Business Mgt (PGC) NSE for MBS only ==== February 18th Medical passed =====. March 2nd Refusal and bvl. ====. May 5th 2021. I left nairaland after this, as I was really down. I however contacted Mr. Frankrobbn1 of www.fandrglobal.com. He asked I ordered my notes and also get a Masters admission immediately while I wait for my notes. When my Gcms notes came out it revealed, I didn’t declare my former US refusal of which I was never refused a US visa. (I applied for Dropbox and they referred me for an interview. Checked for dates for almost 5months I never got one. Got tired in May 2019 and dropped the whole process. Now my GCMs revealed I was denied visa in 2018 without any refusal communication from US embassy. This was very embarrassing and annoying). All these I addressed in my 2nd application. VO also had concerns about me leaving my kids; age 4&2. So Frank advised i re-applied with the 2years old this time as the 4years old and my husband served as ties back home. Financial asset, purpose of visit. All these were addressed by Frank (Doff my hat for this dude, e sabi work remain. He took my story like it was his and brought out a perfect script. The way he related my previous masters to the new program was so amazing). I got admission from UCW and UNB, both under 2weeks. Frank advised I go with UCW even though I desperately wanted UNB but after weighing certain options, I opted for UCW. Second application timeline (Self sponsored) Applied with all NSE==== June 30th Program ==== MBA School ==== UCW Applied for my Notes Aug 6th, came back blank September 5th. It was obvious nothing was done then, The only thing I picked was that my secondary office was Lagos; I was excited about this as long as it’s not london.. lol. Decided not to apply for notes again till a decision came. Started sending soft mails to Nairobi in August shortly after applying for my notes. Profile was still same as at when submitted but however started classes online. This was a tough decision as my work in Lagos is really demanding but I struggled through it though with several days of Migraines... lol. It also took my mind off IRCC as I had several assignments and project deadlines to meet, couple with my work. It really helped my mental sanity PPR: November 19th. 2021. Hello everyone. Please a friend of mine got 2.2 BSc in mass communication. She does have years of work experience in sales. She intends to go for Masters in management and the question is any chance of her getting an admission with her 2.2 or should she apply directly for admission in pgd programs? If she does qualify for Masters please what school would you recommend if you got an idea? I appreciate your response. Thank you |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Scott99tish(m): 8:28am On Nov 20, 2021 |
It’s best you do both. LOE- Explain your refusal reason, why and how you tackled… SOP- Re-adjust your SOP properly if you have more add, which you should have gathered more experience on this morning or things you never included earlier. Subjected to Proofread though. Reason; The VO that will attend to your case might be different this time. So to avoid another VO pointing out another excuse that was omitted by the previous one. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 9:14am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Hello Katehasty Since your resumption is in January, you have every right to disturb IRCC with multiple emails everyday. Let the content of your mail look or sound urgent because your resumption is a little over a month.. Send them at least 5 emails every day.. Send individual emails(do not copy any office, let it be direct) to Lagos, London, Nairobi, Accra.. Let the subject of your mail be URGENT.. And as for your GCMS notes, you can resign and resend to them.. But if you do what I say as regards the daily mails, you should get a positive response from IRCC before the GCMS notes drop.. It will end in praise Katehasty: |

Fawaz12345: Hi Fawaz, The first reason can be tackled with providing job prospects in your country after your studies, also stating the relatioship you have with your parents and the fact that you will want to come back and take care of them after completing your studies. It will also be fine to show your interactions within your community ie. membership of clubs, volunteer activities that will show that you are closely tied with your home base. Even though we have seen people get SP with funds less than 10mm, I think the VO must have considered your dad's responsibilities and dependents who would also need to be taken care of. To tackle this you can state in your LOE that the 10 mm is solely dedicated to your studies and show what your dad does that will regularly provide income to take care of other things if this 10mm is given to you. You can also do affidavit of sponsorship if your dad did not do one before. Pls wait for other contributions |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 9:29am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Hello Teemenzo Sorry for your refusal, was gunning for your approval though, seeing you were always positive here.. Your refusal reasons are easy to tackle even without a gcms note, you failed to convince the Visa Officer of a career progression in your application and also that you are a genuine student going to Canada to study.. A strong and convincing SOP/LOE will do the magic.. Travel history will disappear if you take care of your purpose of visit as we have seen applicants with a virgin passport getting Visas. So it is never a refusal reason.. To fulfill all righteousness, order for your GCMS notes though to know the exact concerns of the Visa officer, no guess work.. Peace Teemenzo: 2 Likes |

Hello Prettymi20 You do not need to wrap your head about a "Purpose of Visit" refusal reasons.. It is one of the easiest reasons to tackle even without ordering for GCMS notes.. But please order for your gcms notes, if you can (Recommended) Prettymi20: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Anon123: 9:38am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Bblight: Both.. If your previous denial reason was about purpose of visit, you will need to rework on your sop but if it wasnt, then no major or just do minor adjustments. But loe is important stating wat you have changed or introduced to address the vos concerns. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 9:44am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Hello Henrie She can try for a Masters' even with her 2:2, but truth be told, it is difficult getting a Masters admission with a 2:2 because of competition from 1st class and High 2:1 graduates.. A PGD will be ideal for her(less competition), but most times we advise applicants to go for a course related to their work experience especially if the said applicant has finished school more than 5 years.. i.e if the applicant has been working for over 5 years, then he/she should go for a course related to his/her work experience.. And if the applicant wanna go for a course relating to the 1st degree, then the applicant should do a lot of work by convincing the Visa Officer on the reason for going for that course despite not doing anything relating to that course for so many years.. Peace Henriie: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Anon123: 9:47am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Henriie: Does she have an experience in management? A 2.2 is guaranteed admission in a college for a pgd. A masters is 50/50 chance with no guarantees. It has worked for few but again no two apps are the same. As per universities, I dont know any I can recommend. For PGD, college plenty but try and familiarize yourself with each schools refund policy. Conestoga college tuition deposit Is 1500cad abd its refundable. |
