Hey, everyone. I'm a Nigerian. I was born in this country but I had spent a large part of my life in Dortmund, Germany. I speak German and English with my native Nigerian language. I'm Nigerian on my Father's side. Last year, I was privileged to travel to Peckham, South London. I tried to imitate the English accent.
Now, I'm back in Nigeria. Anytime I speak, people think I'm faking my accent and they laugh at me. I try hard to imitate the Nigerian way but people don't understand that I just can't.
Please, what am I supposed to do? It is affecting my communication.

I sound more German. When I pronounce "w" and "sch" and "j" it might come out confusing.
