Let us even say that out of 14 dead/missing, that half are fictitious, the fact remains that some soldiers shot at unarmed protesters, prevented ambulances from accessing the place, doctored videos and cleaned up the place to cover up their mess.

When only 1 person dies then is no longer a massacre.. Whether is wrong or right is a different ball game. But when you say massacre you have prove it. And what I see Lai Mohammed and government is doing is trying to correct the narrative. You can say the brutality continued at Lekki toll gate but to call it a massacre is not right because that has its own consequences on Nigeria and our agencies. If Armed robbery and burglary are both crimes but the are different and carry different weight do you get it now. So why haven’t their families submitted petitions to the panel and received compensation like the others listed in the report? Even the chief witness Ma Sarah Ibrahim got N10m compensation for Trauma for being present at the shootings.

Fact remains that in saner countries, police or soldiers don’t point guns, talk less, shoot unarmed civilians.

Nigeria armed forces personnel from northern region are always in Jihad mode once they are sent to the south, especially in the southeast region, to quell civil protests.

Another truth is that in a saner countries no one would dare pad panel report with lies as we have seen in the so called lekki massacre report.

By your words, I should believe that the police officer, James Nwofor who killed over 100 of his igbo fellows and dumped their corpses into river was a northerner.
When in 2012 there were protests over the fuel subsidy removal, over 100 people were reported killed by the security agencies sent out by Jonathan government. May be Jonathan was acting a northerner in jihad mode.

...since according to you they don't have family attachments and the military took away the bodies, then who identified them? How did the panel know their names? Who reported them missing or dead?
