The current there isn't very strong. Even a baby diver can enter there. The depth isn't that much. Some areas are very shallow that at low tide,Barges get grounded.

Concerning the colour, it's due to the season. The whole body of water in the creeks has a yellowish tone now.

When you get underwater with your underwater mask, you see clearly to a reasonable extent. However, visibility is hampered at night especially if you don't have suitable goggles that can amplify the available light.

E no follow.
Ofcourse, some places are shallow while some are deep. Truelly when you drive past unilag, you see a portion where fishermen stand in the water. That place is like a sand bank. It does not mean all is like that.
I remember around that 1998-1999 period I drove past there, a benz had just driven into the lagoon, a blue benz regular 230. it went down and the only thing that came up was the wheel cover. This was by the side where the bridge branches to Yaba. The nearby fishermen came in their canoes with long sticks, dipping them in the water to try to locate the vehicle, for where, the water was too deep and murky. Na so that car and the people inside their tory end.

The body of water around the Third Mainland Bridge is actually a lagoon and is not meant to be deep but shallow.

Yes, depends on what you are looking for. Many part of the lagoon along that area is shallow
Re: Can Divers Enter Third Mainland Bridge Water? by seunmsg(m): 3:52pm On Nov 21, 2021
I remember when I visited the construction yard of Borini prono just under the bridge in 2019 when the rehabilitation work was about to start. The deputy project manager told me that they brought in divers from Italy to work on the bridge piles and pile caps deep in the water. So, yes, divers actually do go inside third mainland bridge water. At least, during maintenance.

Maxymilliano:

Very true, you see fishermen casting fishing nets while standing inside the water, and you'd also see sawmill workers rolling timbers out of water.

For divers, feasibility will be a major issue when underneath but there are parts of the ocean along Badagry and Ibeju coastline that scuba diving can he fun to practice.
That's the shallow end baba...
Stop this your shallow thinking
