Please gurus in the house, I need help!!!! I have been able to secure a supervisor at a university who has told me that my salary for a year would be 20k cad. When showing POF, should I mention this or should I apply like it's not a part of my funds? Also can a sponsor like my uncle transfer the whole money and declare it with a gift deed? |

Lianna2020: Hi Lianna pls I need your help I still have some concerns . I sent my passport and my 6 yrs old son passport to Abuja for stamping but I checked my tracking and I discovered that vfs failed to receive the documents and so the documents is on its way back to Lagos without visa stamp . I called DHL to know why but what they said that in most cases like that ‘ it could be that my documents was not complete …. I tried contacting vfs to know the right docs to send but Their phone has not been through. My younger son has a US passport. I am so stressed right now.. This is what I sent 2 photocopies of my passport , 2 consent forms Documents received when I did my biometrics Original international passport Receipt of Transmission fee (N8,900) For my 6 yrs old son 2 photocopies of his passport Original passport ( he didn’t do biometrics so I didn’t add any consent form) Please I need your guidance on the proper documents to send |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Residentourist: 9:47pm On Nov 21, 2021 |
So sorry for the stress. Calm down I know it would all be sorted. Did you pay transmission fee for your son? I heard @akannitommy mention sometime back that he was asked to pay for his minor kid, you could contact him to gain more insight. Also try calling the VFS office or better still request that the DHL office check the reasons as stated on the envelope. All the best. Jojorito007: |

Hi PrinceAde, Like I said Do not leave any period out of the 10 years they requested What you posted here means you left March 2014 - April 2014 out. Since you resigned in March like you stated, what were you doing before getting another in April ? (1) Either you put another one ( Mar 2014 - April 2014 UNEMPLOYED) Or you overlap the employment below as it applied to you; (a) July 2009 - March 2014 (b) March 2014 - till date Or (a) July 2009 - April 2014 (b) April 2014 - till date I hope it helps. Scott99tish: Thanks for your response. I actually tried the date overlap before posting here and still didnt work.Found out that you need to exclude any period you have stated as part of post education period in your employment history else you would get that error as well.its kinda weird as it suggests they expect all post secondary education to be full-time To be fair to them they did state it on their page however somehow weirdly I didn't think that they actually meant what they stated coz it defied logic and practicality.Well,i removed the work experience period that overlapped with post secondary education and viola ,it moves on to next stage Learnings is you have to choose which is omportant for your application i.e either your post Secondary education or any work period that overlaps with yhis.i left post Second education and shed off that part of work experience 1 Like |

@PrinceAdeAde, I can't remember the exact number I reached them on. However, I placed by booking on October 1st (2021). The earliest available date I saw online was 8th of November (IOM Abuja) and 3rd December (IOM Lagos). I booked for the 8th of November (Abuja) then I called them to reschedule and they changed it to 21st October. Also, they accepted my request to change my test center to Lagos. You'll be asked to send them a mail with your medical request letter and payment/booking confirmation. One thing I noticed was that when I got to IOM Lagos for my medicals, some folks booked that very day at the center because they couldn't reach them via phone/email. So, try and go to their center if you can. I wouldn't have waited 21 days for my medicals if I had known this. My 2 cents. PrinceAdeAde: 2 Likes |

Did you put your son and yours together? I mean in one envelope? It’s suppose to be in one envelope because he’s under you. Did you pay 8920 and printed out the receipt? Would be waiting for your response because it seems you had put your son different and yours in a different envelope. Kindly confirm . Jojorito007: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Jojorito007: 2:20am On Nov 22, 2021 |
Lianna2020: Yes I placed both in same envelope. I paid the 8920 fee for just me and also included the receipt .The only thing I left out of his documents was the consent form. I didn’t sign the consent form for him and also didn’t pay the transmission fee for him . Could that be the reason? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Lianna2020: 3:10am On Nov 22, 2021 |
Then you need to call vfs because you don’t need to pay transmission fee or sign consent form for him since he didn’t do biometrics and he’s under you . I’m sure u included the transmission fee receipt right? You might need to call or live chat them. This is new to me. Jojorito007: |

VonVictor: Hello! I see that you're a pharmacist (like me too!) I'm yet to apply but from what I've gathered, you'll have to mention it as a scholarship from the school and even explain the type of scholarship Viz: assistant jobs to your supervisor. What's the name of the school? |

Good morning Nairalanders, Please i need help on what is meant by Room and board, This wasn't stated by my school, can I just do a rough estimate? Secondly, I only the the tuition for my first year, as it is a 2 year program, can I just multiply the tuition fee by 2? And lastly, is international differential fee paid once in the first year only or twice? N.B. I am using the new portal for my application.

Hello everyone please I want to share something and I will appreciate your advices on this. I got admitted to Graduate certificate-Global business management in Centennial college for May 2022 and Post baccalaureate diploma-International business in Thompson rivers for Fall 2022. I am a graduate of Biochemistry but since graduating I’ve been into business, importation and stuffs. Now I don’t know the school to choose, for higher chance of visa approval, job prospects after graduation, generally a better school, better location for work/better life and easier PR in the future. Please I will need your opinions on this, which would it be? Thank you. |

Filanodivine: Hello Filanodivine, International Business Management and Global Business Management are the same course of study and offer the same curriculum. Graduate Certificate and Post Baccalaureate Diploma are both postgraduate programs. The post-baccalaureate diploma is more like a bridging program for professionals or individuals with an alien academic background intending to switch or study a neutral course. It combines basic teaching and augments it with groundwork study essentials at the same level as the Graduate Diploma or Certificate. Given that you are coming from an alien background, a pure business course like Business Administrative Management would have been more suitable than an international or Global concentration in business management. Ontario and BC are populated provinces with expanded opportunities than most other provinces. Both are also expensive places and in general, they are both lovely locations to stay and study. TRU is a good university likewise Centennial is a good college, but in terms of curriculum and for the fact that it is a university, you may want to consider TRU. It is very possible and logical for you to be able to leverage the post-baccalaureate diploma as a bridging program to augment, consolidate or support your prior degree and knowledge. Kayfregs: Hello Kayfregs, Except for the IMM 1294e, IMM 5256 (optional), and IMM 5645 or 5707 Forms, bank statement & reference letter, admission letter; the other documents should uniquely be according to your personal and/or economic profile. As a guide, check and compare your document timeline with those that have shared their testimony but don't arrange your final documents based on it. Be unique. Best of Luck 1 Like |

mrczar: Hi mrczar, Please see as requested: https://www.ourcommons.ca/Members/en/search?caucusId=all&province=ON&gender=all The MP supports on schools within thier constituency so check the one in the same region where your school is and give them a call and email. I will also suggest you keep sending e-mail reminders to IRCC as your application has passed standard processing times. I hope this helps and all the best. |
