Those trains plying Abuja, Ibadan and Warri were built by the same PDP you’re badmouthing.Buhari came and continued from where they stopped.
You folks are really notorious for lying

Now, you are showing advanced symptoms of chronic psychiatric disorders and mental imbalance

I agree with you here.

You are a classical idi.ot. Where in the write up was any allusion made to salaries? The APC government that built the railways is not ready to lead? Where were your corrupt masters that could not even deliver a rail wagon?
What on earth usually makes workers lay down their tools? Is rail a basic need of an average Nigerian? Between rail and food which should come first?

I still don't understand why there are no train plying Port-Harcourt to Enugu rail

Is it because of insecurity?

I don't think so, cos there is insecurity in the NORTH but Train works there the most.
The South south and South East has been marginalized right from time that's all.

Lame position and low-level argument,

1. You stated that the report did not state the reason for the strike, and they you conjured a "We all know...". You and who are the we?
2. If you don't know, the loans of the train is not serviced from ticket sales. It is deducted by FG from federal purse to pay. Where do you think the first tranch of $150m paid on the $500m Abuja-Kaduna train came from.
3. Rail system cannot yield direct profit. Amaechi has explained this severally to you numskulls. Rails is an enabler of several sectors and commercial use, transport, Agric, Manufacturing, commerce etc. It is all these sectors that contribute a long term returns to the rail.
4. Rail is a wrong investment? How old are you or should you be?
Who cares!!!
In as much as they can’t pay their workers they have failed fool

This is what some buff.o.o.ns on this thread refused to see. When trains were moribund and they continued to earn salaries there was no complaints. Even if you will push for wage increase, compromise on some part and let the rail industry grow. In a time of plenty, it will be beneficial to all.

What this will teach the government is that they will accelerate the privatization program, retire all of them and put the management of the rails in private companies. These lot will now be working under private coy who will sack them and nothing will happen. We supposed get sense when we fight...
Nigerians don't know what patriotism is all about. When we get it, we would grow.

It's shameful to hear and behold the level of rot this admin has brought Nigeria into. If you treat your wife the way APC is treating Nigerians, she would have sort for divorce since 2016. grin

What rot? That they aren't sharing money? Or that they are prioritizing infrastructural renewal and development?

I used the highway from Awka to Onitsha just last week. Though, it is only one side of the dual carriageway that has been done...I was very impressed.

The rising prices are certainly a global issue. We talk as though we didn't think that there would be any impact from the lengthy worldwide lockdown, due to Covid-19.

The Business Model was not to repay loans from the Rail takings. Even if they strike for 50yrs, we are duty bound to pay the loans from the FG purse. These workers seems to want to hold the passengers ransome, thinking train strike will affect anything. Provided they don't disturb project workers else they'll be treated as Security threats and arrested
What are you saying?
Any business should be able to pay back the sum invested into it.
If we dont run it as business, there is no way it will be sustainable.

Same thing that happened to it earlier on and to Nigeria Airway will still happen.

It is just like building a house for ~#50m, and you rent it out at #500k per annum; you will not even be alive when such breaks even. Will you now day building a house is a bad investment?

If you were old enough, you will know that Nigeria Airways went down for many reason and not this your flimsy simplistic case that you cannot even sufficiently defend.

The analogy looks stupid.
So you will build a house and not plan to recoup your investment after 20 to 30 years. If na so them dey do, no one will be a developer.

Business should run as business not government keep pumping money into it to stay afloat.

Thank God you are begining to understand where you are mistaken. Food, shelter and clothing are the basic neccesities of life, and gov should rank their priorities in acordance with the principles of scale of preference in Economic term. Pay workers their entitilement and avoid them laying down their tools. Trail will be useless without healthy and satisfied citizens to make use of it. I think the issue here is that you limit the quality of reasoning to your ignorance. Why do you think governments, private and several sectors have Confidentiality instituted in processes....

It is reasoning like yours that makes it unsafe to put documents in public space, wherein your limitations and lack of exposure will even be of more damage to the work than the intention.

What are you even on about? If you're interested in seeing the feasibility report, simply write the agency and quote the necessary act

Shut up you gob. Reducing what should be an intellectual discourse to "food". What is train support to serve among other things? Absolutely yes; Confidentiality. It is not all documents that are made public. Why make public a feasibility report is there is no direct request for it?

This is the reason the country would never grow past these politicians swallowing unimaginable sums of money. Keep public spending documents confidential. No problem.

Hmm bitterness, cruelty and rude are what defines your person. Curses full your character, hence I opt out of the issue respectfully. Have a nice day but train yourself to be polite and sane in your coversation with people. Not everybody came from a home where parents lay causes on people, and children follow suite!
