DhanBaba: Hi DhanBaba, Thank you for reaching out. Apologies for the late reply. Please note that for an entry level role, you will not be accepted with your degree. However, you can get a contract role with the bank from any of the outsourcing companies i listed in the beginning of the thread. This contract roles may include back office operations (Audit, Business Support and Resolution, Stock Control, Procurement, Omniflow, OSS, e.t.c) or Branch operations as a teller. From this position, you can enroll for a part time BSc via direct entry using your ND. If age is still on your side (do the calculations. if you graduate and do nysc etc before 32), you can apply for any internal position you are suitably qualified and can then start your journey. The minimum degree qualification to join Stanbic IBTC is a BSc. I wish you all the best. Cheers. 5 Likes 1 Share |

DhanBaba: Don’t call me sir. Please. You can register and create a profile with outsourcing companies. These companies recruit various roles for banks. Complete their documentation process and get scheduled for an interview. If you are lucky, they can send you to Stanbic. A couple of them I know that recruit for Stanbic IBTC are ICSL (Integrated corporate services limited), RIL and U-Connect. Please be aware that Stanbic is not the only Bank they recruit for. They may send you to Access Bank or Fidelity. Cheers. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

But on a thread about stanbic ...someone's said they don't pay education allowance and some other allowances that banks give upfront yearly.......could that be reason for their high pay... 1 Like 1 Share |

adesbaba: I don't quite understand what you mean by education allowance though but Stanbic pays bursary. If you get an admission, you can engage your Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP), submit some required documents and Stanbic will pay 80% of the fees until you are done with your program. This admission is ANY school of your choice. 1 Like 1 Share |

richmondefosa:Hello (you said we shouldn't call you sir). Are the banks concerned with your grade only? What of the course of study? Like students that studied education in university? |
Re: Your Thoughts On Nigerian Banks Salaries 2021 by richmondefosa(m): 5:09pm On Nov 19, 2021 |
NLambassador: Hi! I presume you are asking about the graduate trainee role. No, the bank is not interested in your course of study. As long as you have a BSc and graduated with a 2.1. It is clearly stated in the requirement. I studied Linguistics and African Languages. A course purely in the arts/humanities. I have a couple of colleagues who studied Civil engineering, Petroleum engineering, one studied Zoology. Another did soil science and Physics. 1 Like |

richmondefosa: Greetings. Trust u having the best of ur weekend. Got a few questions that need clarifications.... I have been on contract with first bank since 2019. Of late I learnt stanbic has open positions for asset custodian, customer service and the likes... Question: are These jobs equivalent of their graduate trainee position? Are their salaries same? If no, what are the criteria for conversion? What are the prospect for growth I anticipate ur response. |
Re: Your Thoughts On Nigerian Banks Salaries 2021 by richmondefosa(m): 12:02am On Nov 21, 2021 |
udeze73: Hi Udeze, thank you for reaching out. There are a couple of vacancies on the career page of Stanbic. To answer your question please note that the available positions are not graduate trainee positions. So they aren’t on the same salary scale with graduate trainees. If you followed the thread, you’d see where I stated the salary structure for graduate trainees. Those roles stated above, I think they’re Banking Transaction Assistant (BTA) 2 grade level. They may give you this if you have prior banking experience. I don’t work in P&C (people and culture) what most of y’all know as Human Resources (HR) so I wouldn’t be exactly sure. 2. I’ve listed the criteria for conversion earlier in the thread. I’d suggest you go through it. 3. Stanbic actually WANTS you to grow professionally and in all areas. It’s actually one of our CORE VALUES as an organization. “Growing our people “ You get scheduled for periodic trainings upon trainings. We have sites where you can learn fir free. EdX, Abstract, LinkedIn Learning etc. There’s also a bursary program where the bank will bear a significant part of the financial burden when you get an admission to further your education and professional qualifications. I think it’s 80% or thereabout. Stanbic actually wants and pushes you to grow. I hope I’ve been able to answer your concerns. Please don’t hesitate to write back if you have more questions. Cheers. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

gwininfo: I graduated with a 2.2 and I am in Stanbic. Although I did not come in via the Graduate Trainee route. I joined as a contract staff with ICSL and got converted after writing the conversion exam. Now, I am a Full time staff. Stanbic accepts 2.2. 8 Likes 3 Shares |
