I don't even like dt style.. It makes watching match boring..one team will just b playing while d opp team will just b chasing d ball

I prefer Liverpool(jurgen klopp, or man u(Ferguson era style) aggressive pressing style
I no like am at all. I can't even mention the style of football I like per se but I know I don't like tiki taka.

Very boring style of play. I stopped watching Guardiola’s Barcelona at some point except against Chelsea.

Those coaches play direct football and rely much on wing play. This is were you need fast and skillful wingers.

Tiki Taka will limit our players that are fast and direct.

We don’t need it.

Thank you. Direct football with wing play. I think you have helped me put a description on the type of football I like. Let me add this to make it a more robust package: direct football sprinkled with good measure of flair with wing play. Na so I like my football diet.

Guarantee winning the World Cup. Even Enrique can not Guarantee Spain that. cheesy

What we need is a coach that can bring the fear factor to the Super Eagles. Bring confidence to the players. Anytime we match out, no matter who the opponent is, they should be ready to play the games of their lives against us.

With time, trophies will come. [First, we need a coach that will guarantee we will play with bravery, confidence, and power.
More spice for my football diet:bravery, confidence and power!

He's a good coach.. just that the pressure of coaching Barca was too much

I can take him for Nigeria because we have no other option but he made me hate football

That is your belief but devoid of fact. Why should Tanzania be the case study alone?

Secondly, I have also called for Luis Milla years ago, strictly because I want us to play the system.

Simple. I want the best coach we can get to teach us to play the system. Amunike is the best at it. It has nothing to do with obsession with Amunike. He played and got trained in the system. Simple.
Who was barca coach when Amunike was in barca? My search reveals that Amunike was in barca in the 96/97 season and 97/98 season. Coaches were Bobby Robson and Louis Van Gaal . Did barca play tiki taka or its variants then either under Robson or LVG? I doubt, I strongly doubt it.

I watch velverde games ,his team of play is ugly but Barca win games with him ,almost went unbeaten at the Laliga

Velverde style was aka pass to Messi grin

If velverde didn’t fumble at the champions league he wouldn’t have been sacked

Dude used to school Madrid anytime Barca plays them ,won Madrid 5-1 without Messi ,easily won Laliga twice

The most stupid thing he did was bottling Roma and Liverpool ,you should have hated velverde for failing to win the champions league when it was in our hands and I would have agreed with you

You think velverde won’t win Laliga with Barca of last season

The reason Valverde wasn't sacked was because he was Bartomeu's stooge who didn't really cared about the football but about money, if Laporta was the president then Valverde would be sacked after the Roma disasterclass, the Madrid sides he won were sides experimenting with Lopetegui and other coaches after Zidane's exit, Valverde was the only coach that had me praying that other clubs beat us so that he will be sacked

Of course, we have a decent option in Amunike , but I am concerned he isn't match tested , of late. Since he was relieved of his job , as the head coach of Tanzania national team , I don't think he has coached any other team. It would have helped a great deal if he 'd engaged himself work-wise or go back to school to gain more knowledge and ideas and make his CV look better.

SN: Something in me still wants Oliseh , but I think Oliseh has some serious personality problems. A good coach but not a good manager.

I can't wait for Finidi to coach the U23.
Oliseh head dey touch ooo. Too temperamental.

You are talking about Guardiola that has abandoned Tiki Taka after it failed him in his latter years at Barcelona because he realized it can be countered hence went back to the drawing board and invented another style totally different from tiki Taka.

Amuneke is not Guardiola.

Exactly. Our style has never been tiki taka. I laugh when people say we play like the Dutch. I don't understand that scene of illusion.
Our game have always been physical, rugged, power play and speed. Europeans and South Americans always dreed playing us because of our physicality.

It's only Nigerians that think we play like the Dutch.
South Africa, Ghana and Morroco play the closest system to tiki take or Dutch football not Nigeria.
They make that assumption because of Westerhof and Bonfrere Joe, Dutch men under whose tutelage our athletic style of football took the world by storm.

Guardiola Barcelona that was the most entertaining team then is what you called boring

You only stopped watching them because they use to disgrace almost all the teams they play against and you don’t want them to win grin

I am not saying we should play tiki taka ,but can you please stop saying it will limit our players ,what has our so called fast Wingers been doing without tiki taka ?
He's right. Tiki Taka was exciting to watch for those who liked it, boring to those of us who don't like it. Me, I never liked it.

Our game has never been physical and rugged. Do you remember when Nigerian fans scream, eh he, eh he, eh he during passing. It came from our style over the years. Why do you think the likes of Finidi, Kanu, Oliseh could easily blend with Ajax?

Over the years, we lost a lot of games in the 80s there was this statement that we played all the game and lost to Cameroon.

Our game has never been about ruggedity.

Which players were rugged?
It is about ruggedity and more as in not just ruggedity alone but ruggedity with finesse. maybe a better word is robustness. Amokachi, Eguavoen, Taribo, Ben Iroha, Rashidi Yekini, Aiyegbeni, Aghahowa, Onazi, even Osimhen are rugged players

Neither park the bus nor tiki taka is entertaining. All that passing bores me to death. Even Gaudiola himself decried the passing thing.

I loathe all that passing for the sake of it, all that tiki-taka.

"It's so much rubbish and has no purpose. You have to pass the ball with a clear intention, with the aim of making it into the opposition's goal. It's not about passing for the sake of it." - Pep Gaudiola
