Our system rewards hardwork. Please quit the lamentation, negativity and inferiority complex. If he was not recognised he would not have been promoted to the corporal rank.
It's because he didn't join the police as an officer so he can never rise beyond the highest rank for the other ranks non-commissioned cadre unless he crosses over to the officer cadre. There are many folks like that especially in the army. Some are eventually lucky enough to be transferred to the officer cadre and rise on to become Generals . It happens in the universities too, even if you have a Phd and you are not in the academic teaching and research cadre, you can't be a Professor.

Go and join clerical admin staff in the university and go ahead and get a Phd, come back and tell me if you will be promoted to a Professor with that Phd. You are proud and unteachable yet have opinion on everything despite being ignorant of systems and how they work. There are folks like him who eventually exit the force and pursue career elsewhere but if he wants to use PhD for his promotion, he must cross over to the officer cadre.

- Primary school certificate in West.

- Secondary Certificate in South South and

- Bachelors degree in North.

Must u be regimented in your reasoning Just because something happens in a particular way doesnt mean that must be the only way. i am not doubting you on what obtains in Nigeria's public service career system, what i am telling you is that its wrong, unproductive and encourages laziness. The system rewards those with connection while those that are hardworking are neglected. You actually agreed with my point just that u like argument.

Everywhere in the world,Organisations like that are highly regimented. They even have Regimental Officers to ensure there's strict regimentation.
