You know like Junior rightly said, we do have problem discerning.

We should be thought how to discern both in the house of God and outside.

You're a great mum.

No one can teach you how to discern nor show you. That is part of the training to become a Christian.

I disagree,

Like you said it's part of the training. But if one is rightly pointed to the right scriptures and the teachings of Christ, eyes will be open.

Few weeks back I couldn't properly discern false teachers, but with bible studies with some friends; I'll tell you that my eyes are open. Real fast. What took some years might take you days.

Not that I don't use to have that feeling of this saying or teaching is or might be wrong, but now I have an upgraded knowledge and joyfully reject false teachings.

What you should say is; no one of even God will force you to go the right way.

That is the training. You already have the "textbook". If you truly believe, your eyes will begin to open FOR GOD WILL KNOW AND SEE.

This is the Only Wayl And God is both your invigilator and examiner, so you can never ever cheat nor can anyone give expo.

You have got to do it yourself or fail. That is the way it is.

And the failure is yours alone because you really do not want it.

Don't forget the Ethiopian Eunuch and Philip. Jesus, parables and the disciples.

Sometimes we need rub each other, not neglecting the gatherings of the brethren.

If one is lucky enough to find kingdom minded brethren either offline or online, one should pay attention to them. You might be learning something. That's also part of discerning (separating false from truth).

If you go this way then you have been learning discernment for a long while but you know that you have still not obtained it.

So since you seem interested in the Kingdom of God, then your next lesson ought to be "His Rightnesses" not your rightnesses or some other man's rightness.

And that means you ought to know what "rightness" Truly means.

While learning rightness or so by going up to the mountain. I still believe there're experienced disciples. Those who can still impart Christ.

What I should be or take more seriously is like the Berean Jews.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Acts 17:11 NIV

And you missed what they did "they searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so".

I would suggest you use.kjv Bible for it is written in spirit and in Truth which is why it is hard and hidden exactly as The Word of God is.

Is there any difference?

That's the purpose of God's organized people!

If you want to have sense of discernment you need to learn from ancient servants of God just as Paul listed their deeds in the Bible book of Hebrews 11:4-32 and concluded by calling them cloud of WITNESSES! Hebrews 12:1
You also need to associate with Jesus' group {Matthew 12:46-50} where your power of discernment will be trained! Act 2:42; Romay 1:11-12; Hebrews 10:24-25; 13:7

I love when my thread gets traction. At least it's not ignored and a healthy debate is good.

All it takes for a Truth to become a Lie is the removal of one word or the variation of it or the shortening/enlongation of it exactly what reed and many Satanists and Atheists do.

Take for instance, I Just learnt that KJV is different from others in Proverbs 30

These are the words of Agur son of Jakeh—the burden that this man declared to Ithiel:

“I am weary, O God, and worn out.

2 Surely I am the most ignorant of men,."

KJV
"The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,

2 Surely I am more brutish than any man,

Brutish means brute which means a very violent, cold and headless person; a devil.

"Ignorant" does not mean great evil it means foolishness.

I also heard that KJV wasn't inspired. And that if you know about the transcriber, you won't read KJV.

Haven't done my research tho. I use either RSV, NIV or MSG.

I did not research it either but since I knew how to read, it was only the KJV I used. I did not understand jack, but my Ceased Grandmo, taught me using it and I saw for myself itself accurate Truth

That same Bible was what I used by virtue of Grandma's much by heart recitals which jumped on me and saw me through boarding school, where I saw the Power of God for myself and how to evade enemies.

And so no one can tell me that the KJV is not True, for I am who I am and what I am today because of my foundation in KJV.

And for me, seeing the way they attack the KJV, clearly shows me and any reasonable person that it is indeed the Authentic Word of God, for it is the same way and venom they use to attack God and His Followers and Everything that is God's.

They almost do not attack the other bibles, Why?

That should tell you something most especially when the KJV Bible warned, John 15:19 KJV: "If ye were of the world, The WORLD WOULD LOVE HIS OWN:

And the world hates the kjv.

Good to know.

I think there's something about the first bible one is introduced to. I started with RSV and don't think I have gotten insights else like that of RSV. Getting used to NIV and love how modern MSG is. Would also look into KJV but it's old English I think.

The Truth is Always in the Past.

Yes it's old english which is not easily comprehensible (EXACTLY AS CHRIST'S PARABLES) but that is where The Way of The Lord is and that is the basis of my first answer to you here that, that is "The Training"

The kjv is trying to do something I do not want to tell you but you are supposed to find out if you are truly interested in following The Lord!

You want to take me on a journey?

Shouldn't we be grateful to those who find time to revise the English?
