French oil group Total Energies is currently in negotiations with a Nigerian billionaire to purchase his land in southern Nigeria. The meeting took place discreetly in the heart of the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Omanambala: As things stand now, natural gas is the exclusive reserve of Abuja.....so the constitution says! The truth is that anambra and imo is the new golden goose that will lay the golden egg for Nigeria. That is why the federal government was desperate to take the two States. South east will soon become the new economic capital of Nigeria if our money bags can take advantage of this opportunity. Left with me, no ioc should be allowed to touch any oil it gas resources in anambra. It should only be explored and exploited by igbo owned companies so that we can have some level of control over what happens and not end up like the niger Delta minorities. We need seplat,orient petroleum and other indigenous Igbo companies to be in charge. We can't just make another round of nothern billionaires on Igbo resources 12 Likes |

As we speak, can you tell me how Anambra in particular, or Alaigbo in general, are financially benefiting from their gas reserves (and i include Alaigbo in Rivers state as well....like my LGA ONELGA)!? But i can tell you that as we speak, your federal gov’t has signed deals with Morocco (and heaven know who else) for the sale of gas....as well as embarked on a multi-billion dollar AKK gas pipeline that will take gas from the south-east to the north! I also noticed that the headquarters of national and private oil and gas coys are located outside your south-east....if they’re not headquartered in Lagos, then it’s either Abuja or the south-south, but NEVER in your south-east! When the results of this injustice manifests itself (like increased IGR and VAT for the ‘lucky’ region concerned), you’d see them pointing finger at Ndigbo and the south-east as they howl with laughter! Also, your federal gov’t has located ALL the multi-billion dollar gas projects (like gas plants or LNG) in the south-south! You may get a token gas plant in the south-east (like the one they decided to locate in Imo), but that’s just to fulfill all righteousness! |

If this deal is for renewable energy like Solar, fine. As long as it is in control of the locals. Past technology is dying or dead. Our rich old men should plan ahead not like Dangote Oil Refinery.
